Odd Device

"This device looks like a rod with a crystal on the end, with a handle to hold it by. It looks old, but is slightly familiar to you, like you have seen it in passing. Maybe it's of interest to Voraxian."

Do you have any recommendations on who we should talk to about the device?

We could ask Alexstrasza?

What? The Mother of Dragons?

Oh, no. I would not want to bother her with this trifle. She is very important, and she probably does not have time for us.

I am sure she is doing important... Dragon... Mother... Things.

She would make time for me.

0k, look. She is older than continents. She is wise. One look from her, and it's like she has seen everything you are and might be.

Quite frankly, I find her very intimidating.

She is nice when you get to know her.

She was at war with my flight for the last ten thousand years.

I am sure she is very nice to you, but I would prefer another alternative if at all possible.

What about Sabellian?

No. He did serve under Neltharion during his... bad days... but at the time, they were not really "cultured" types.

What about Wrathion?

Ah. no. No I don't think so. He seems like a good whelp. but he is a bit young to be an expert on the artifacts of ancient black dragons.

We could ask the Dragonscale Expedition?

They could work. but when they came to the Obsidian Citadel, they said it would take them a year to identify the origin of some of the tables we had.

How ridiculous. They are tables! They are for putting things on! You don't need to know their origin. I would like to understand what we have found sometime in this century.

Voraxian says. What is it? Is it a weapon? Is it an ancient artifact that will help my flight defend dragonkind?
Veritistrasz says: It is an egg tending device.
Voraxian says: Incredible! We will be able to tap into the ancient knowledge's and utilize it to help our whelps grow!
Veritistrasz says: Oh... No, this is obsolete. We had even moved away from using this before we left the dragon isles, we have much better tools for it now.
Voraxian says: Oh... Well, it is still a piece of history I guess. How did it work?

Veritistrasz says: I will show you if you promise to slow down.Well, that is a bit of a disappointment.

I suppose an old egg-tending device is some form of culture, even if it is not very exciting.

If you find something else of interest in the vaults. I would be interested in looking at it.

Comment by ChaxtonI can't help but feel that we've had this "one wise person, one eager person" dynamic a few too many times. You can coat it in any color of paint, but it's the same thing yet again. Sure, the dynamic is nice, but not when it's so common. We just had that annoying Dracthyr over by the Timewalkers, we had the annoying Pelagos for FAR too long last expansion, and there's definitely been some form of this dynamic in other expansions.
