Yes this will be a lot harder to get wrong thank you wowhead!
@werdnerd I totally agree
As long as there is no audio or video it's fine. I dislike the current Captcha.
I vote yes! I already get ads atop of the site, one or two more while captchaing doesn't make any difference to me :)
This would be a much better idea, but only if it isn't an advertisement and the slogan is at the end off it.If it is just a picture with a slogan, that would be much better.
I really like this idea. It would make it much easier.
Go ahead and make a few bucks, you can still browse the database without. Captcha: arkinac address
It looks like the company will be able to buy space in the "captchas" an example being the Dr pepper, but they could sell it to other companies.For example Apple iPhone it would show you a picture of it and it would say something like "this changes everything, again"So you would type that saying and be able to post.As a marketing student I think this is a fantastic idea not only for wowhead because they can make some money off it, but it also allows posters to be able to understand exactly what to type.(thumbs up from me!)
Well, I'm definitely down if its a static image like said above. Also, if it helps ya'll by giving extra money on the side, then I am even more in agreement!
I think it's a wonderful idea. Win Win!
I like the idea, my concern is that there will be a limit to the uniqueness of text in the advertisements. Where currently it is randomly generated characters and harder to predict, with the ads it would be slightly easier for bots to figure out wouldn't it? That defeats the purpose of having one at all.
As long as it isn't video ads, then i'm fine with it.Captcha: thelders surrender
What happens if a user has an advert blocking addon to their browser? AdBlock is a popular extension to Firefox and Chrome and if this form of CAPTCHA is tied with an advertisement site this could cause problems.If not, I'm all for it.
That's clever, but to me, it cheapens the site. Why not use alternatives to captchas, like images (e.g., "Click the picture that's a bunny!")?
So I'm assuming the advertisement captchas will replace a small amount of the ads shown while browsing the database? It seems like this would make a lot of people mad, especially if offensive or inappropriate ads were shown.
As long as you dont force me to watch anything sure!
