PI is similar to a tractor toy, and children fight over who gets to go brum brum with it. if you don't progress mythic, you shouldn't fight over the tractor, which is 99% of you
this is frankly saying so stupid and immature ... ppl got frustrated ? :D:D:D what a emotional nuddle you have to be to get angry for not receiving one :DIts a damn priest decision and willingness to give it in the 1st place and none other business :) so calm down and focus on you class basic mechanic or swap to priest.PEACE
I was hoping for legitimate complaints on the issue of PI but it's just children whining about them not topping the DPS meters and hitting their parses to the maximum. That's just insane. Keep PI. Let the children weep.
Turn power infusion into priest time warp, problem solved.
PI should be brought back in line with the other raid/party buffs (let's look at hunters and what they bring for example: 5% leech and 3% avoidance for example). It is great to be simpped with NF and PI because let's be honest, it is great to see you dealing high dmg and higher dmg than others, but this creates a lot of problems and frustration. Also, when blizzard decides to nerf/balance classes, do they take into account how well they scale with PI and other externals and make decisions considering you take these buffs or not? Because the difference when you get externals and not on fire mages and demo locks is quite huge and this can conclude in thinking if it's worth to take another warlock/mage in the raid comp if you cannot give them a pi and nerfing or buffing a class taking into account the externals is really not a realistic way to decide upon this. I really don't understand why not fully rework the ability and simplify all of the problems that it causes when it comes to raid comps and class balance. Performing 10% - 20% better in regards of dps because you received specific externals it's really not a great game design. This is not the first time this feedback was given by the community and I don't understand the stubbornness that blizzard manifest regarding externals when it's obvious it creates more problems than it solves.
personally i play to mythic raid. and being competetive about it is pretty normal. look at any sports and people compare them self to others. having things like PI and even introducing more in dragonflight actively takes away from my enjoyment of raiding.
The issue is that power infusion objectively makes every other healer less desirable to have in your group. Especially in M+. Priests make their dps do even more dps, even though they do the most damage out of all healers. Why bring anything else when priest has the fun button for your group? Its just unfair and makes things like mistweaver even more isolated and forgotten.
People need to stop crying over fan-made $%^& like logs and DPS meter. The whole point of doing team-based content is getting through it as smoothly as you can.Who cares if you're not the top DPS or healer on the meters, if you did your part without making a mistake? Everyone need to chill their massive ego already and start being a team player.
It's actually insane how many people are willing to call others "children" just because they want the game to be more fun. I assume they are being intentionally obtuse, because it's so blatantly careless. Which is more child-like than the people they claim to be acting like children. PI makes players feel worse than the person getting it. Bottom line. If it doesn't make you feel worse, then that's great for you, running around calling people children doesn't solve anything, or make you look big and tuff. Just makes you look like a fool. If you don't care about PI, then changing it won't affect you. So why do you actually care about it?...
Like blizzard said community issue requiring community solution. The problem is one word "envy". The whole purpose of PI is to assist towards a certain goal, being a good timer at mythic+ or downing the raid boss. There is always going to be the best dps in the team and therefore should get the PI. The rest shouldn't be crybabies and accept there is a subjective benefit to give it to a specific person.
I remember old days in Legion when warlock can control Eredar-girl with +30% dmg, +30% haste and 5 sec CD buff.I mean wowhead.com/spell=211632That was great and still I say it is really unfair. So what priest are going to say if warlock have it back?
I feel like supportive spells like this are cool and the game needs more things that fall in that realm of play. A full on support class probably isn't in the paradigm but stuff that is designed to buff or boost others, I like to see. We have a handful of spells like BoP, Innervate, thorns that sorta give that feeling. But I feel like PI is really unique in that its directly channeling your power through your allies. The only concerns and frustrations surrounding it are that not everyone can have it. And it doesn't show up on the meters attached to your name... Which goes down in my book as irrelevant.
Pretty good neutral post. Really explains all the issues.
Pi should be like Hero/Bloodlust and problems would be solved for all! Also do not share cd with H/B but to have a longer cd than H/B so ppl would not spam it like insane and use on some bosses where is really op to have it.
just make it like the dark archangel. raid buff, only positives for everyone. if cant do that simple thing...? just remove it and problem solved.
Is it even a WoW expansion if blizzard don't put a !@#$ed up system that will taint the enjoyment of the game ?PI and such BS buffs should be removed from the game. Blizzard clearly balance around game 2 but there devs that clearly dont play the game and don't care/know their player base think that game 1 is independent of it .
My solution was to just quit. This is a video game that is supposed to be fun. If the part of the game you enjoy is parsing or doing well on the dps meter and the game does not offer that any more, then leave. I lost all my enjoyment of powering up my toons because of these individual/party external buffs. I was hoping to return in dragonflight but they went in the completely opposite direction to what I was hoping they would. Maybe I might return for the start when everything is hyped, but I'm sure I will soon just leave again because the part of the game I enjoy does not exist any more.
Make it self-cast at 25% with a party-wide 15 yard 'radiance' affect at 15% with the radiance suppressed if Bloodlust or other powerful haste buffs are active. Clearly having it work more-or-less like it has done since 2003 is so suddenly game breaking that the whole spell needs to be redesigned(!)Christ, this is why this game will never have proper support class design. Constantly flowing between "homogenise everything" to "we all need to be unique". Devs caving to this crap over the years has just compounded this pathetic ebb and flow of "debate". Surprised the conversation hasn't just devolved to "give us a Bloodlust for Crit, Mastery and Vers and spread them across all classes". Yummy flavourless design.
