Great change. Can actually reset it with 1 CD now.
Too little, too late I guess. Make it 1% per stack and remove damage part completely leaving healing received reduction part only, limit how often stacks can be applied and so on...

good change, but still could use more changes to make it bearable. I.E. reducing the healing reduction per stack, or slowing the application. Mainly so tanks don't have to run away 7 seconds into a big pull.
Was just reading about the nerfs to raging and bolstering, and comments saying they wanted a nerf to necrotic. Blizzard seems to be watching with a very keen eye.
Good start, I think some other QOL things related to necrotic is to have the stacks scale up not linearly so for example if you go to 5 mobs to 10 mobs stacks shouldn't stack 2x as fast. It feels so bad to start a big pull and then 5 GCDs in you have to kite already. I also think stacks should start decreasing 2-3 seconds after you don't take damage so if you kite for 99% of the duration and get hit it still resulted in SOMETHING.
While a nice change for necrotic, they really should make stacks independent.
Contrary to what many might think, I do not agree with this decision. I am a tank and this affliction allows me to be more active, to find ways to deal with it. It is difficult and it is the sense to make the tank more than a statue, an active player, it is easier yes, but it takes away that those three seconds are hard when you have 40 stacks
Bolstering delete/nerfs when?
The issue wasn't so much the time it took to drop off because it drops all stacks the moment you are out of combat, it's how it stops tanks chain pulling and changes the dynamic of a run so drastically. That along with grouping it with sanguine was not the smartest idea since they contradict each other.
Still gonna take a weeks break from tanking, when Necrotic is up. That !@#$ doesent belong in the game.
Even at 6s duration it's not addressing the problem that it stacks way too fast. 10s into a trash pack you have 20+ stacks and you have to start running.
250 BDK and 244 VDH main here. Still only doing 1-4 dungeons a week during Necrotic.. and TBH, every week now. Why can't the Affixes just be different bonuses instead of different negatives.
