Right now Limit is basically beating pre-nerf P3, so all the nerf is going to do is help other guilds get through it more easily and catch them up to Limit (all late-progression guilds will start on P4 at the same time instead of Limit having a head start). This change definitely hurts Limit the most no matter what time it happens, as the only guild that doesn't need it.
Well it's announced and Method and every other guild has the choice to be up at that time if they want. It's not unfair to anybody.
Meh, and then they wonder why so many people can't be bothered to have even a passing interest in WoW's world firsts. It seems to only ever go one of two ways : - It's correctly tuned and then it's mostly a race of who can stay awake the longest and who did the best gear / alt preparation. - It has a tuning / bug problem and then the exact moment of patch deployment will usually be the biggest factor on who ends up getting world first. Neither of these scenarios are particularly exciting watch. Especially as the most interesting parts of the race (planning, strategy, tactics, ect...) are never shown because they basically happen on the PTR before the raid is even released. All we ever see is execution and it's very rare for execution to be the deciding factor in who wins (at this level they all have superb execution).
Might be nice for them not to nerf it for once & actually allow it to run it's course.......Just once.....
