What about the dang MB druid on my server that has 12 char and run around killing players in World PvP or farm Raids and Dungeon? Why this behavior is not bannable?
As long as Blizzard can sell more subscriptions with it they will not ban it. Feels a bit corruptish in my eyes. But money is the motivation that drifts Blizzard forth these days.
They never said multiboxing was bannable, they said the user of such software was bannable. This measure will end what we are currently having breaking the game. The same person with 20 toons farming an entire area now has no reason to do that since they would have to alt tab 20 times. Same goes to herb/mining farming, they will take way more time to farm, not stealing that many nodes. If you can't see that this is the best approach blizzard could take I don't know...
My experience:I have reported lots of characters in different zones because any time I was online, more than 20 of them were at the same spot with very similar names, all of them druids. They were farming gold all day every day. The 'Who' button tells you everything you need to know. If they are always online on your server- that's a big giveaway. To report them you will have to go where they are farming, click the character portraits, choose Report Player and give exact location, time and explanation of what you see. Saying "They are multiboxing" will not cut it, because having multibox accounts in itself as the company states, is not cheating and never was. What people do with these accounts is where the problem lies.I've received acknowledging mails from Blizzard after, saying action was taken against these accounts (I wonder how severe these actions were).Complaining on forums is not enough, if you see it in-game, then report it. If you have time to make a forum post or write a comment, then you have time for an in-game report too.Just my two cents.
you mean, you won't invest your "hard earned" multiboxergold into tokens from the AH and buy things from the shop then?
So can we finally get rid of all the gold farmer doing 2x4 groups on Herb and Mining nodes? Thank the Titans!
I thought they were pretty clear the first time. They never said that multiboxing/playing with multiple accounts at once was bannable, they just stated that using a software to mirror a keystroke across multiple accounts was.Honestly, I couldn't care less if you play with multiple accounts at once for whatever reason. I do, however, care if you're shamelessly disrupting the game by destroying material nodes, killing an entire area of mobs, use multiple characters on PvP, etc. while using the kind of software that should have been banned from day 1.This won't outright kill multiboxing. Just like botting, some people will continue to use these softwares while risking getting banned, but besides that risk, it will make a hell of a lot harder for multiboxers to sweep herbs from an entire zone like they did in Nazjatar during BFA, for example. At the very least, it will hinder these multiboxers.
how tf is this not bannable?
I've been Multiboxxing with 5 toons the last 6 months and the highest amount of profit I've earned is 1m gold in retail and 1000g in classic. I never initiate in pvp combat, and I only defend myself. Neither do I farm herbalism nor any other material. I pay with cash not gold.I do agree it should be banable when you disrupt and entire community by invading a capital city. or stomping through battlegrounds with 10+ toons.but this is just dumb and lazyInstead of dealing with the problem, they just killed it.
So basically still rip isboxer
Why do people care so much about multiboxing? Its not a problem, and literally anybody can do it. Pony-up the cash if you feel like you're "missing out".
