That's amazing news. Too often does it feel like reporting players amounts to nothing. However they also need to hire more GMs. Like honestly, invest more money back into your CS team.
Glad that we'll be getting confirmation if something has happened instead of just sitting and hoping they will take notice.
They need to make sure that mass reporting can't be exploited. I remember how during the early days of 9.1 people were getting mass reported for not inviting others to fallen charger groups and instantly getting silenced for couple of days. Also we don't need heavy censorship in the game, they need to make a difference between simple swears and actual harassment. Swearing in a game is not a problem so they shouldn't just have lists of "bad words" but they should actually have gm's check reports.
I love how we are getting a lot more in this “off-patch” rather than actually getting it in the main patch.
these are good changes but in terms of chat, i do think certain words and phrases could also but blanked out or blocked, regardless of the profanity filter settings especially in terms of world events, etc
Hmmmh... atleast it fairly warns people i guess, so cant complain honestly; atleast if it works out in practice..... if people just get instantly penaltized without a person looking things over though that more or less seems ripe for exploiting by people.
It should penalize the reporter if they report something stupid, or not an issue.
We at Blizzard™️ after 20 years of WoW decide NOW to try to punish ppl. Meanwhile in 4 years of high m+ keys I have been told to get cancer and various slurs like was nothing. Indie company.
..that means nothing will change.people will still flame and report anything that doesn't go their way (aka less qq more pew-pew)pug leavers, and players who deserve to be flamed because they are the real disruptors and trolls.everyone has their story tbfheck, today i cited info from wowhead/reddit, together with several others. Said "guide" went "don't listen to AD guides they are bad beside for rp". right. xdeveryone would rather lie than admit they were wrong, and it is happening in pretty much every chat. and so on..in fact, with these changes blizzard is promoting the current system aren't they? and.. said straight, it doesn't work :( you mustn't let people on the internet be judges!
Oh this is so gonna change nothing at all.
Years overdue tbh.
That's pretty neat. I would really appreciate also an option to report Guides in the newcomer chat who are trolling, providing misinformation on purpose, or otherwise try to make the experience for newer players unwelcoming.
Sounds like a mass report auto ban. Now I with my guild can spread bans on our enemies in chat.
Guess i have to watch out and stop playing PVP lol
So that means if you report it and nothing is done. You know they did nothing about the report.
This is probably aimed at the bots advertising, not those reporting grieving which should be actionable but we all know blizzard supports that behaviour.
