Echoed Ephemera Drops Bugged - Cap Increases 10 Per Week

Posted 2023/11/17 at 9:32 PM by Squishei

We’re investigating an issue that is preventing Echoed Ephemera from dropping as intended. To clarify expectations, players should be able to acquire a maximum of ten per week with a rising cap as the season progresses if they have fallen behind. Raid bosses are intended to always drop 2-3 until the cap is reached.

That explains why I only have 6 after 9/9N & 6/9H.

Before more people post in the comments about being compensated, maybe give the the blues a quick read once more :*

3/9 LFR, 9/9N, 9/9H, and 1/9M with 0 dropped. several guildies with the same. are we going to get the missing drops given to us?

So, if I had gotten only 7 this week, will the catch-up mechanic ensure I receive enough to get to 20 for next week?

Comment by KarthusTeemo

So if I only got 9 this week, i'll be able to get to 20 next week? Since the cap is 10 per week? Am I understanding this right?

Comment by dokeefe1986

What does it even do? Is this for that quest in the raid? I don't look at it closely

cap aint 10 per week,it is increased by 10 per week with week 1 being 10.even if you have 0 this week,if you do all bosses next week, you will end up with 20 anyway

Not much impact as long as its fixed within a week or 2. I believe this is for the helm enchant that only works in the raid as a way to passively nerf it over time.

nothing like having 3 after a full clear

Comment by Caje

What do they do, it's only gold from the quest rewards....

Nevermind, they're for the head enchant.

Full cleared normal and went 6/9H, just to get 6. Most I’ve heard someone have is 7. It’s 4 lost, but with the rising cap each week it may not matter. It would’ve taken until week 3 without the bug. As long as you get a little lucky with some 3 procs in week 3, there’s enough in the cap to still finish this then. Especially if you can farm multiple difficulties- if that’s possible then this is definitely a non-issue.

You need 50 for the quest so there is no way of doing this quest before week 5 of the season, no matter how they drop. You are supposed to get 2-3 per boss kill, but only to a maximum of 10 items total, not 10 drops.

so im lucky i got 8 i see.

Yeah, got really confused when people in guild were saying they got more from LFR on their alt than N+H clears on their mains. Made no sense to me. Seems it was bugged.

But this still makes me wonder about the rules for these drops. Its not really similar to past stuff. I assume they only drop from loot eligible kills. But one question, do they consolidate drops from lower difficulties? E.g. if you've cleared Heroic is there any reason to go into N or LFR for more drops? Perhaps as a catch up strat on an alt.

Or is it a situation where you only get drops from the specific boss once per week regardless of difficulty?

Beta testing, don't worry.

I got 2 for a full clear of normal and some only got 1. Hopefully they just give us what we didn't get.
