Blizzard Changing Shadow Priest Tier Set Bonuses to Focus on Devouring Plague

2-Set - Darkened Mind - Dark Thoughts has an additional 15% chance to trigger for each Shadow damage over time effect on the target.

4-Set - Living Shadow - Consuming a Dark Thought causes your shadow to animate for 8 sec. Your shadow follows you, dealing (138.4% of Spell power) Shadow damage to your target over the duration.

Greetings priests,

The Shadow bonuses, specifically the 2-piece bonus, are going to undergo some changes based off the feedback provided. To start, the 2-piece bonus will move its focus to Devouring Plague. As the only spender in the Shadow Priest rotation, and with the abundance of Insanity in the Shadow kit, it seems like a good hook to pivot to. The 4-piece will remain largely unchanged, however, Your Shadow will swap their current single target channel for one that favors AoE situations as well. WE DO NOT CAST DEVOURING PLAGUE ON AOE. WE DON'T CONSUME DARK THOUGHTS ON AOE.

Other specs get sets that function based on 'spending rage' - why the @#$% does shadow priest need to have it tied to a specific spender?Comment by wallrochaIt's not like this fixes anything as the person above me said.

After messing with the set bonus on the PTR. I still hate this. 3 priests in my guild spoke about this heavily. Our kit is so focused around spending insanity and hitting our procs + MB + void bolt. There's not much time at all to spam flay. Tried using the old terrible call of the void leggo and it was abysmal. What's the deal?

Are we mistaken? Is the proc coming from DP instead of MF/MS in the change?
