Haha, no. Blizzard is trying real hard to make WoW into an esport even to the point of trying to get players to feed the reward pool for the winners but its just terrible. Method has it right, stream it but dont make some overblown spectacle of it.
I think that World First Raid runs, are a better e-sports for WoW than Arena Championship in scale of public attention. Look at the twitch views since Method and Exorsus started streaming they progression, this have motivated Limit to join the public streaming to the next raids.
They could have picked a better picture to use for the Black Lizard personally. I'm so glad to see these guys at the caster desk again.
Go Tempo Storm!
No matter how tired I am of WoW, I'm always stoked to see some WoW PVP.
Yay! I love watching the teams! Great guys to chat with!
Yes others games ask player base to chip into competitions rewards as-well, but the difference is that you buy expansion for wow and then you pay monthly to keep playing the game you bought where the other games are free to play and still can manage to arrange bigger/better events then blizz wow. That's truly sad and to make it more worse. you buy toy from shop.... a mount would have been a better option but a toy in shop....
Viewer guide? wait till dampening is at 20% to start watching
Upload the VODs... Watching VODs on Twitch is a disaster. WoW has a YouTube channel. If that is not enough make a new one for e-sport VODs. I can't watch the whole event live, ane want to watch the games in chronological order, so I always wait for youtubers to upload it. Would be better to watch the games on an official YouTube channel.
Great group of casters!
That double destro lock team is awesome - real giant killers. It was used last week to great effect for the first time in US by one of the teams and was used yesterday by one of the EU teams.....
Do we have an ETA on the next post of the Hunter Pet Series? Would be good to know how often they are intended to be released. Last one was almost 2 months ago! :(
They have an app, a great caster team, good analysis, a great game, good production, schedules, hype videos and amazing players. But they still don't uploads the VODs in an organized and viewerfriendly way. Twitch is obviously not made for VODs. Please have a youtube channel with e-sport wow VODs organized in playlists. It would make watching the tournaments so much easier. Sure I watch some live, but I want to watch in chronological order. And usually end up waiting for random youtubers to upload the VODs to youtube.
