Just got it by logging in. I didn't do anything on classic except level a DK to 70.
Just saw someone riding it on retail, so cannot be "level to 80"

i just logged in and i had it, dont know how. but i just have a lvl 62 dk on classic, not sure if its related
I have a DK at 59 (nothing of a higher level on the Wotlk Classic), and still got the mount on Retail.
I wonder how you get this? I really want it!
Just got it by logging in. Like other people said I just played prepatch and have a 67 DK leveled.
Have dk 62 on classic got nothing so far.Edit. had to log on wotlk classic and back to retail and then got it.
Have a DK at 70 on wrath classic and received the mount.
Maybe the requirement is to finish dk starting zone quests or something like that based on some of the comments here.
Logged into real wow and got it. I do have a 65 classic DK.
also have a level 70 DK and earned the mount
looks like need to finish the starting zone on classic as death knight; next add corrupt ashbrindger blizzard
You need to level a DK up to the point that you join the faction/talked to the faction leader.
Now that's a reason to install Wrath Classic.
I just logged into retail and I got it, on Wrath Classic I have a level 60 dk toon.
i only did the dk starting zone in wrath. i did not buy any deluxe items and i have the dragon
