why azsuna?
I guess the thing I don't understand is why they feel the need to remove other portals because they make some new ones some place else. for the love of god, There is no conceivable disadvantage to having portals in multiple locations. The world is bigger than Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms now. We should be able to get around it faster, especially as max level characters who have saved it numerous times.
Question for someone on the PRT:Are the portals to UC (above the tower) and to Darnasuss (near the port) still up?
If you haven't figured it out, the Azsuna Portals are because we'll be going to Nazjatar soon, so obviously we'll need to get close to it first. Potentially, the Azsuna portal will be changed to a Nazjatar portal later through quests, etc.
Wondering why the Horde one doesn't go upward, into the wall, connecting to that little tunnel that has no real reason for existing. So you could also climb to the top of the wall through the portal room...
I wonder if Blizzard is now going to re-do all their quests in Legion that tell you "Hey, go use this portal in the Chamber of the Guardian" to well... not, and make things more inconvenient for the playerbase trying to catch up.The portals up there, as they were not in traditional places, shouldn't have been touched. I can still use the teleport dialog to Caverns of Time in both Shattrath City (rep-gated for Revered w/ Keepers of Time) and Northrend Dalaran (just talk to NPC), yet a more modern city is now devoid of ALL portals, be them to capitals or otherwise? Next they will disable the effects of teleportation items like a couple tabards (Argent Crusader, Tol Barad factions), and legacy items (Black Temple neck, Timeless Isle trinket, etc).New portal room seems almost fine with what it covers, though, missing Legion Dalaran is a small issue, I agree. Shouldn't be hard to label properly though... I mean, they made a gag Portal spell for Dalaran Crater that is labelled differently, despite looking the same. Also, not everyone chooses to start in Azsuna, NOR does the Court of Farondis have it's own FP even, you have to go down behind it to the Illidari camp for it. I do agree that such a room should have far more Nightborne trimmings to it, cause we know it is Oculeth who established it. He is a telemancy genius and responsible for the portal hub in The Great Seal, and all over Suramar.
That's cool and all, but why remove all the portals in the shines to begin with?
looks like we don't need to hold on to the dalaran hearthstone anymore then. that caverns of time portal was handy for old runs
So we lose the Shrine portals months ahead of this portal room, and when it does get announced it turns out we're losing all of the Dalaran portals too and getting back barely half of them? And they call this a quality of life change? Who designs this stuff?I like this game, but more and more this seems to be despite Blizzard's best efforts and not because of them.
Those mages sure have a lot of mana to keep those portals open, and a lot of stamina because they never sleep.
I pretty much like the new portal rooms. The location of the one in Orgrimmar and the concept of the new Broken Isles portals are definitely unusual, but that's what also makes me think these are interesting changes. Unusual things don't impair the game, they make it stay alive.
It's about time we got an upgrade to the portal room in Stormwind, but the Orgrimmar Portal looks a little small. At least Stormwind has room to put future portals. Unless this is it. game over go to mobile. ( God save us all )
Well it isn't there now. Went to use it on PTR as I was getting instance aborted when trying to go via garrison. There isn't one in the SW hub room either (which has changed and isn;t like the video above anymore).I don't think I'm being cynical but removal of all the portals looks to me to just be an excuse to get players playtime up as they have to take longer to get to where they actually want to play at.
RIP mage portal incomes for mages :D
what was wrong with how things were before? O_o
