doesnt seem to be a way to avoid the fear, anti-magic shell nor lichborn work to prevent the fear

I got this today, messing with it because, y'know, that's a HUGE amount of stats on a 2 minute CD! That's really good!

So I pop it in the delve I got it from, and at the end of the effect I get horrified, as expected, but Valeera dispels it. It's a magic effect, and can be dispelled like any other.

Now I'm not saying you should add extra burden to your supports by having them dedicate a dispel on you every two minutes on a boss but you could. It is at the least a great delve trinket since Valeera will prevent the self stun every time. How useful it is beyond that is up to the group you're rolling with.

I really don't think the Horrified gimmick is necessary for this trinket.

Sure, you can pull it off with good enough timing but - is it really worth the risk to be straight up stunlocked for 5 seconds flat with no way around it?

The 5 second debuff is "magic" effect, therefore can be dispelled, however you cannot prevent it with Anti-Magic measures such as AMS for DK's.
It is also NOT a fear -> Tremor totem does not dispell it.

Amazing way to ruin a great trinket, however to be honest; without the downside effect this trinket would probably be BIS for most if not all classes which is an even bigger issue!

For warriors; Berserker's Rage does NOT prevent or remove it. I was hoping it would fall under the "and some incapacitate effects" part of Berserker's Rage, but it does not.

I was hoping I could use Stoneform to break the magic effect, but it becomes unusable during the horrify.

I got lucky and got a hero version of this to drop. Its extremely good when maxed out to 276! 2 min CD increasing all secondary stats by 190. Thats 760 total secondary stat. Not bad!

Hello! I just thought I'd note that this trinket is actually pretty amazing for monk tanks in keys. I'd like to get my hands on a heroic version of it. It works really well in tandem with touch of death. I assume paladins could use it by rotating spell warding/divine shield with the cooldown. If you can communicate with your healer you can also count them down to a dispel!

So I had a hero version of it drop April-13-2026. I tested it in the open world as a Fury warrior and Berserker Rage DOES remove the fear effect. IDK if they patched it because it was so unusable or what. Also in a Delve V will also remove the effect.

Lichborne removes the effect as of 4/18/26.

I think this trinket has been stealth fixed recently.

In its current state, you don't have to hit the killing blow, which makes this very usable in M+ & Delves, even on some bosses if timed correctly.
The stat bonus is quite large and IMHO worth the timing challenge if you're not doing Raid bosses only.

Also, it seems to be using a Fear effect now, instead of Horrify, which means it's dispellable by e.g. Berserker Rage.

It's pretty good now!

Tremor totem does work now. I also like to use this trinket on warrior and paladin nowadays, who of course can break the fear with berserker rage and divine shield.
