I got this via the Raid Finder encounter of Durumu the Forgotten.

After you kill Durumu, a Durumu's Glass Pupil will drop. Use the item in the room and wait for the candles to light up and appear in a circle around the room. Locate the felfire circle that now appears at one end of the room. In the felfire circle, you will notice a floating grimoire, and three flaming cauldrons: Purple, Green, and Orange.

Activate the Grimoire, to trigger the first puzzle. The puzzle will display a line connecting one candle to another. You have to count each candle intersection and then click on the corresponding cauldron of the same color. The number of times you click on the cauldron is equal to the number of lines you see connecting each candle. For example, 3 green lines = click on the fel fire cauldron 3 times to give yourself 3 emblements on the fel.

Keep solving each puzzle...I think there are 4 or 5 puzzles. Clicking the corresponding color to the number of lines.

I uploaded the screenshot of the final puzzle.

HelsRandy's comment is on the right track but is missing some information that makes some instructions a little ambiguous for me. Here's what worked for me:

Queue for Halls of Flesh-Shaping LFR at Mogu'Shan Palace in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. If you can't see the LFR queue NPC, speak to Zidormi outside to change phase.
Kill Durumu and loot Durumu's Glass Pupil, then use the item, it doesn't matter where you target the throw.
Wait for the candles around the edge of the platform to spawn in, then head for the purple circle with the cauldrons and the book.
Click the book to get started. :)

You'll be shown a puzzle that connects some of the candles with coloured beams. You have to count how many beams there are of each colour and click the corresponding cauldron colour that many times.

e.g 2 candles are connected with 1 beam of green light. Click the green cauldron once.

You can keep track of your clicks in your buffs. Once you have the numbers right, click the book to proceed. If you're wrong, the book will knock you over and reset your buffs but will not reset the whole chain of puzzles. You can also right-click off the buff if you overshoot to avoid resetting all of them.

As the puzzles progress and get more complicated, the purple cauldron will start giving you more than 1 stack of the purple buff when you click it. This is to help you get to the higher numbers faster. Be careful when you start spam clicking!

To calculate the higher purple numbers:

Count how many candles have purple beams at all.
Subtract 1 from this number to account for the candle not being able to connect with itself.
Subtract 2 from that number, this is how many purple beams each of those candles will have. (the different coloured beams cannot share a path, this is to account for the green edge beams)
Multiply your number of candles by your number of beams.
Divide this number by 2 to account for each beam having one candle at each end.
Subtract your number of red beams. (see note above about not sharing paths)

eg. 12 candles will have 9 beams each (12 - 1 - 2 = 9), 12 x 9 = 108, divide by 2 for 54 possible beams, subtract 3 red beams, 54 - 3 = 51, give yourself 51 purple stacks.

HelsRandy's final count was correct for me when I had all 16 candles involved in the puzzle :)

While Fiamma's comment is 100% correct, I found the math bit somewhat difficult to follow when actually doing the puzzle. For anyone who wanted a quick math formula to input in a calculator for the Shadow stacks you can use this:

p is the number of lit purple candles
g is the number of green (outer) lines
r is the number of red (flame) lines
p * (p-1) / 2 - g - r

If you are color blind, it might help to know that the green lines are only outlining the edges of the web, never crossing through it. The green lines are also much dimmer and do not have a fiery visual attached to them.

My final solution was different than the two other comments here with 3 Flame 16 Fel 101 Shadow so I assume the puzzles are somewhat randomized.

There are a total of 5 puzzles you have to solve, and there are a total of 16 candles in the room.

I did not click it and happily hearth back only to discover that i had to redo the puzzle AGAIN

If you don't want to bother with the math or spreadsheets this worked 100% first time for me:

Reds and greens are easy, but for the purples...
Choose a starting point and put a raid marker or your Demonic Circle on one of the candles
From that candle count the number of lines going from that candle
Proceed around the room to the next candle and count any lines going to a candle you have not yet visited (so at this 2nd candle I ignore anything going to the 1st since I've already counted it)
Keep going and this time exclude anything leading to candles 1 and 2, etc.
Continue to each candle doing the same thing, meaning at your last candle you will count 0
