These seem a bit too easy to get, especially given that the max you'll need to make your best ring is a mere 60 fragments for the 6 upgrades, 2 for each. And unless you have multiple rings for different situations, purchasing stones and scrapping them when they're not the one you want is also very cheap (bought for 10, scrapped for 6, so only a loss of 4 whenever you don't get the right one)

Looks like the best way to convert extra fragments into gold is to buy the empty rings and then sell them to the vendor, as they sell for 55 gold as opposed to 18 gold for the stones, yet cost 10 fragments each either way.

These are stacks of 1000. Why are they currency for only magic pieces at X10 cost? You can only equip 3 pieces to your ring. Will these be used elsewhere? Or, should I collect as many as possible in hope that they have a mount in the future?

For those of you who are wondering weather you'll get an increased amount of Dormant Primordial Fragment from disassembling your 424 stones - I tested it out of curiosity and unfortunately, you receive a flat amount of 6 regardless of item level.

I find that strange considering we use 20x Dormant Primordial Fragment to upgrade the stones in the first place.

I thought this was something you could only take to jewelcrafters to upgrade existing stones, but if you want to roll the dice on getting a particular stone base and don't have the one you want, Researcher Imareth (35.14, 57.72) will sell you "condensed ____ magic" of the various categories that you can crack open to see whether you get a stone you like better.

I got my 3 bis stones from Vault drops in one day, Are these just totally worthless now? Is there nothing else to do with spare stones and fragments?

So what is the point to these once you have gotten your (3-6) stones that you will need? I have my 6, upgraded to full, and im already up to 200+ fragments again just sitting in my reagent bag.....this is only week 2 of the reach right? Unless you have really bad luck you're gonna be done with the stones super quick ?

For those that haven't realized it yet, there is a page where it shows the BIS gems based on class and spec and whether you are going to raid or do mythics - you can have more than one ring

It'll be boring, but the best use for all these filling your bags is buying and vendoring Onyx Annulet. From a stack of 1000 you're looking at 5510g, though you'll also need a lot of bag space because you have to wait for the 2hr refund window to time out.

This Macro does not yet work fully but, if you want a starting place to look into it or are fine with using a couple macros and some addons to fix some of the issues it may be helpful:

/Run BuyMerchantItem(1)
/click StaticPopupButton1

That set will purchase the Onyx Annulet and confirm the purchase using Dormant Primordial Fragments.

/equip Onyx Annulet
/click StaticPopup1Button1

That will equip the Onyx Annulet and confirm the no-refund pop-up.

/equipset EQUIPMENTSETNAME

That will swap back to your main gear. There are a couple vendor sale macros that I couldn't get to work, I was unable to get combining the above macros to work in a single macro. Various junk addons should be able to be set to sell the Onyx Annulet as long as you label it junk for them and have cleared off the refund status.

I gave up trying to figure out the perfect method and instead would click the first macro, combined the last two macros and clicked it twice which would swap back to my regular set, and then click the ring from my bags to sell. It's not perfect but works well enough for the amount I needed to sell and not having to click the confirm windows was enough of a time savings.

If you have a load of these like I did, and you just want to get rid of them, you can buy a load of Onyx Annulets and vendor them for 55G, just equip and unequip to stop the fragment refund.

I had 780 of them so the 4300G was better than them sitting useless in the bank.
