This item is granted at Renown 52, 67 and 76. For example If you choose to use this on a level 1 companion it will upgrade that companion to level 38.

These REALLY need be purchasable from the Renown vendor. It shouldn't be easy to get them, it can be something like 20k anima + 50 offerings (from anima conductor), but they need to be available on a vendor.

It upgrade fresh lvl 1 companion to level 38.
It upgrade lvl 56 companion with 14k xp to max 60.
So don't waste it on companions lvl 57 and above and feel free to use it on 56 and below.

Used on a level 41 companion with 6,950 xp needed for the next level, went to level 48 with 12,450 xp needed for the next level.

To be honnest this items xp is way too low... For example I started to play shadowlands 3 weeks later,i was ill with some unknown virus for 2 month straight, and then i had a break from wow for about a month ! From starting shadowlands i was sending companions on quests 2 to 3 times a day when i was playing and now my highest companions level is just 56... And i have all possible companions available in the game(at least known ones). That item should give 1-60 straight ! Since we have 19 of them atm ! P.s. im Kyrian !

P.s. downvoting this post seems funny... Imagine new player starting shadowlands just now and he has 19 champs to level from scratch ! When item gives 37 levels only for 1 champ? Or the one,who decided to play wow again?

I used it on my lowest guy who was 51 and was afraid of going over, but it just brought him to 56.

If you are "swimming in anima" as I was, there is a vendor in Oribos in the bank that sells crafting materials (7500 a bag) for anima now. I had so much anima on my two main toons that I was able to buy 30k worth & still have a full reservoir when I dumped the rest in..

Level 19 general draven went to 39.

I didn't bother with the shadowlands wartable until I got the Venture Plan addon that auto-calculates teams for you because before that sitting there with a pen and pad trying to work out whether or not I was going to lose was tedious and boring.

VP also has a "doomed run" button you can right click to auto-assign rookie companions that you know are going to lose the mission just to get them experience, and tells you how much experience they will gain from the adventure.

Also I had no idea the "heal all" button on the Companions tab existed until I just noticed it today.

Edit: Once you get over Renown 62 Venture Plan starts failing because it's hard coded to that level. To fix it you need to get Venture Plan SoD Missions addon and follow the instructions on how to use it closely as it requires modifying some of the .lua files in the Venture Plan addon folder.

Using this item, a level 54 went to level 57.

Sadly, this boost isn't that impressive. It sounds like a lot of XP, but it really isn't much at all.

Also, I've seen a lot of debate on what level adventurer it's best to use on, but the truth be told it doesn't matter. 70k XP is 70k XP no matter how you slice it.

The "Companions" this tooltip talks about are the NPC followers from your Covenant's Command Table. They are part of the minigame of Adventures (a.k.a. missions like WoD).

So I've leveled Inspiron ( Kyrian) from pretty low lvl to 38. But his health is 880 for some reason. Does any1 else bhave this problem? His hp is significantly lower then my other tank at a lower lvl. I got Bron at lvl 28 with 1770 health and Inspiron and 38lvl with 880 health. Bugged or?

Does someone know if you it every time you join a covenant anew? Like start at NF, collect the item on ronown levels, then swap e.g to necro, collect them, go back to NF and get a new wisp for the renown levels? could speed up levelling companions if someone has the time and effort

If you're Night Fae, keep in mind when you get this the second time at 67, you get your last renown companion at 71. You might want to save it for him. You will get one last one of these after that at 76.

I used this item today (patch 9.1) on a level 49 Spore of Marasmius and it did not award a single point of experience.
Probably a random bug, but be aware there's a bug.

Since when did these become BOP? I could have sworn these were account bound instead of BOP. I vividly remember sending them from alts to my main to level my main's followers, Just got one on my Shaman who is a Kyrian and it's BOP so I tried to send it to my main and I couldn't and my brain broke because I know for a fact I used to send these from alts to my main. Maybe not the exact same item but it definitely awarded 75k experience and had the same icon. Did they change this is 9.2? This is very annoying if so because I don't even have followers unlocked on my shaman since I only planed to level my path of ascension for the mount/mounts.

This item can be incredibly useful depending on how you use it. As disclaimer, the max is 12 per character, so either use it right or else they're wasted. On my early alts, I simply used one on every soulbind. Bit counterproductive, as you generally don't intend to use all Command Tables anyway. Most common usage on r/woweconomy is to get at least 5 Wisps, and forego starting Night Fae progression and then level Niya to 60 so that Night Fae troops are 60. However, if you're min-maxing that anyway, if you do it right you can unlock level 60 troops for at least three Covenants instead.

How to use Meatball or Croman to boost troops to 60 on new alts
Meatball and Croman are currently the only two cross-Covenant companions that any class can get on any Covenant. As the median of your companions determine your troop level that never decreases, you can abuse leveling Meatball or Croman before unlocking other companions for max level troops. Because soulbinds automatically unlock as companions whenever you unlock them, you have to be a bit careful to swap Covenants and unlock your first soulbind.

The method from start to finish to get Meatball/Croman and three Covenants' troops to 60:

Get as many Wisps of Memory (Renown 52 & 67 & 76) during leveling and campaigning by swapping Covenants regularly and starting at 60.
At 60, swap to Venthyr and unlock Soulbinds and the Command Table. If Venthyr is the most active endgame Covenant, swap to Kyrian instead.
Spam Torghast 5 for either Croman or Meatball. Feel free to use your active Covenant (Venthyr/Kyrian) soulbinds and gear/campaign in ZM before attempting this.
Level Meatball/Croman to 60 with five Wisps of Memory and BoA xp (six Wisps if you really have nothing else).
Swap to the other three Covenants to trigger level 60 troops, as the cross Covenant companion is the only one, and 60.

What to do on active characters with (most) Covenants unlocked:
It's a bit crap that the method only really works on fresh leveled characters (and thus be 'rewarded' for not doing anything). If you have yet to unlock Night Fae and/or Necrolord soulbinds, get Meatball/Croman to 60 (use Venthyr and Kyrian Wisps!) and simply swap to whatever Covenant you've yet to unlock. This will give you the strongest level 60 troops. If this is not available, then use Wisps to boost Night Fae levels as high as possible: if you've unlocked Soulbinds only, this is about level 52 which is not too bad either.

Advanced version: get all four Covenants with 60 troops.
On a completely fresh character, you can even get all four Covenants up and running. In this case, at step 2 swap to Night Fae instead but only unlock Niya! Follow the rest, in Torghast don't recruit additional NF companions, and once all the other Covenants have level 60 troops, use the remaining Wisps to level Niya to 60. Now Night Fae has level 60 troops too and a maxed out Soulbind. Mind that you don't really need four Covenants, the process is a bit peculiar as is and frankly, the additional Wisps might be more useful for NF companions instead.

Be warned that this item do not appear to stack. I still had the first one in my bags (obtained at Reknown level 52) when reached the next one (pbtained at Reknown level 67) and ended up with the two each taking up a slot each.

I received this on one of my toon after killing Oranomonos the Everbranching (Ardenweald world boss). It was fated this week, not sure if that matters. I've seen nobody mention this before.

I also vaguely recall that I received this items once before from the Shaping Fate quest in Korthia. Can someone confirm if it in fact can drop or if I just remember wrong?

You can now buy Timebound Ruminations but it simply raises a follower to level 30. Also, missions can award Mind-Expanding Prism, Fractal Thoughtbinder, and Crystalline Memory Repository. You need level 16 Adventure Campaign Progress to get those missions.
