With the combined data of over 100.000 herbs, these are the milling results:

Results are per 100 herbs:
19,6 Umbral pigment 9,9 Luminous pigment 0,5 Tranquil pigment - Marrowroot
19,4 Umbral pigment 9,6 Luminous pigment 0,5 Tranquil pigment - Widowbloom
9,9 Umbral pigment 19,4 Luminous pigment 0,5 Tranquil pigment - Rising Glory
9,7 Umbral pigment 20,5 Luminous pigment 0,4 Tranquil pigment - Vigil's Torch
14,4 Umbral pigment 14,7 Luminous pigment 0,5 Tranquil pigment - Death Blossom

As we round these numbers up it's easy to see Death Blossom gives about equal amounts of Umbrals and Luminous.
Marrowroot and Widowbloom give twice as many Umbrals as Luminous.
Rising Glory and Vigil's Torch give twice the amount of Luminous as Umbrals.

To farm these you need to be within Ardenweald area.

I recommend farming just south of "Heart of the forest" (Rougly /way 45,60) where you have a big spawn area with no aggressive monster that will take agro on you.

There are not a specific spawn area of the herb as it shares spawns with both Death Blossom and Nightshade so just run around and you should find them,

The ratio of Vigil's Torch to Death Blossom is very poor. In half an hour's herb farming I looted 23 nodes, 8 of them were Vigil's Torch and 2 were Nightshade, the rest Death Blossom. It's the same in every zone, the Death Blossom is everywhere. And no, it's not just bad timing, I have noticed this to be the case since the xpac started. Blizz needs to tweak it.

There's a pretty good route for Vigil's Torch in the Mistveil Tangle area of south-western Ardenweald. The only herbs that spawn in the Tangle are Vigil's Torch and Nightshade, so you don't get any Death Blossom slowing you down and wasting your time.

There are a bunch of Bounding Duskshroom scattered throughout the Tangle, which bounces you in the air, but also gives a 60 second buff that reduces the range at which mobs will detect you! This let's you run throughout the Tangle, darting around the elite mobs, collecting herbs, and making a tonne of gold without pulling any aggro.

I've found a pretty good farming path near the Heart of the Forest. If you follow the paths around the Stage area there aren't many mobs and the nodes seem to be mostly Vigil's Torch with a fairly high respawn rate. Hope this helps! I'll try to post a screen shot of the area as well. Happy farming!

Hope this helps! I've been circling the same area for about an hour and have gotten over 200 pieces! I've attached a map of the area I took in Silvermoon! Over maybe a 2-3 hour time frame, I have managed to gather over 600+ Vigils, about roughly 100 Nightshade and around 300-400 Death Blossoms! There is one that is stuck inside a tree near the Shrubs near the Heartwood area I believe... If you start at The Heart of The Forest, go towards Darkreach and go to the right of the map and follow the route that shows in Herbs, it will give you a ton! I'm still gather more modes!
And new ones pop with each cycle!
