Does the monthly cap of 500 mean that there will be no way to earn the mace until it happens to come around again?

Comment by FuxieDK

A cap of 500 per month, and "Players who have an account in good standing can collect a free 500 Trader's Tender every month from a chest at their faction's Trading Post"...

So can you get 1.000 or is 500 the limit and you virtually get that for just logging in?

Hi all

I present You small Guide How to start With new Trading Post and how to get Trader's Tender. In new Trading Post You will be able to Buy Mounts, Cosmetics, Battle Pets and maby other think. As well Trader's Tender is the new account-wide Trading Post currency. Event was buged after 3 hours after launch O_o. No one could interact with Collector's Cache and NPC. I log in today and so far is looks all is working Hope will be like that to end :D.

See My Video How to do Quest + how to track Activities and get Trader's Tender and Celestial Steed - https://youtu.be/yOGIqcgRMpE
See My Video how to get Ash'adar, Harbinger of Dawn - https://youtu.be/GeHrxbL2cXk

When I fly to Valdrakken City i get auto Quest Tour the Trading Post then do in order:

1. Go to Stormwind City and Press on Collector's Cache ( i had problem to see it due to lot of ppl standing in this place xD ) /way 51.45 72.33, I get from cache 1100 Trader's Tender :D free Mount xD

2. Do 3 things:

- Speak with Valarian /way 49.35 71.86, behind him is a mount that You can buy using Trader's Tender in this month.

3. Look on Wilder Seabraid inventory to sell, He is located under tent /way 51.11 71.78, place where is most ppl now xD.

4. Finish quest to Tawny Seabraid She is behind Wilder Seabraid under tent /way 51.11 71.78, on his right side.

In total i get 1600 Trader's Tender. To get more Trader's Tender You need to do Activities To find what kind pres LShift+J You will open Traveler's Log, in this place You will see all available Activities to track them press on them LShift+Lmouse. You can see as well how much Travel points You will get for each Activities + What reward You will get. Then every 200 Travel points You will get 100 Trader's Tender, But When You will collect 1000 points You will get mount Ash'adar, Harbinger of Dawn. Then when You hit max pints You will get 500 Trader's Tender + Ash'adar, Harbinger of Dawn.

UPDATE - Now when You reach 1000 point, when You take reward from Collector's Cache point will reset and You will be able to collect more Trader's Tender. That was not tru xD Blizzard Troll me hard xD even on my Video You can see next bar and rewards if you will get more points, i was just going to get some more points and i open Traveler's Log and it is written "You have collected all rewards for this month" Hope they are trolling xD because that means you won't buy everything from the store in the first month.

Am I missing something here? Why do I need to pick and choose items to get based on some trivial token cap? I can't just keep gaining Trader's Tender for continuing to complete tasks in-game? This is not a good system if these items are just going to expire and I can't do anything about it, even if you do freeze something that means you'll miss out on whatever is available next month. It makes no sense.

Comment by Raynuru

While i like the Idea,
it sucks that you can't get more of the currency by doing all the Adventure Guide stuff. So its basicly a Pet and a Mog per Month..

Comment by Kalocyjim24

Maybe they can add in a way to purchase more trader's tender currency for $USD? I think it would be great for them to allow us to purchase all the cosmetics each month if we so choose, but still provide free ways for people to get the items they want.

Comment by GitErDuM

This kind of challenge system is popping up in just about every game now. Perhaps for the engagement metrics?

A special 500 Trader's Tender will be awarded to players who purchase Dragonflight.

How does that work? I pre-ordered Dragonflight. Is that ONLY valid for folks who purchase after launch or something? I got my 1000 to start & my 500 for the quest..so how does this extra 500 come into play?

Comment by Carmelo3312

Um, seems like the items you bought in Feb aren't permanent and they disappear..... I don't have access to change to the Swashbuckler mog I bought anymore. So basically Trade Post items are just rentals?

Comment by cathella81

So I froze the staff last month, incase I didn't get enough tokens. However I did get enough tokens and bought it but now I can't get it out of the froze spot to freeze something this month. Anyone know how to fix this?

Comment by 360fov

This won't be a popular take, but I actually like the limited earning capacity. It makes what we buy have some degree of value, beyond just checking the maximum number of items off a list and farming as much as possible. If they ever increase the limit, in the form of a special timed event, maybe even at Christmas, then it'll be more exciting.

I can see why people want to be able to buy everything, and I understand it being frustrating if you like multiple things but are forced to choose between one or the other... I just personally think that it makes what we do buy, feel more valuable, and I'm extremely confident that items will come back in a rotation, even if it takes 12 months. That's preferable to everybody having everything each month, and then complaining that an 'old' item has reappeared.

Comment by SBahnBerlin

I hope the available items rotating out each month will become available again later, otherwise it would suck pretty hard to have even more permanently missable collectibles.

Is there a crystal ball addon that can see what will be offered in the future? It would be nice to know in order to plan ahead.

I love the idea of the trading post espcially for transmog and mounts its great, and the some of the new idea's blizzard are trying I love however!, Please for the love of god let the cap of 500 tokens be PER CHARACTER but share an account wide bank so that if i earn 500 on one character and then 500 on another character and 500 on another that i would then have 1500 for my whole account and i can purchase everything i want in the trading post not just one item here and there. I get it may seem overkill but at the end of the day if i'm willing to put in my time to earn it then why can i not get rewarded for doing so. Blizzard please make this a thing.

I've been unsubscribed for months, but I pop in now and then on my trial characters. I'm surprised to see that I can access the trading post and purchase items (using previously stocked tender). But all the activities in the traveler's log have padlock icons.
Would I be correct in thinking that this is because I'm not subscribed? Though somehow I have 75/1000 this month.

EDIT: I just noticed that a message saying "You must be subscribed blah blah blah..." shows up for approx 1 sec when clicking the Traveler's log. On some characters. When lagged. So that answers that, but it's not super obvious :)

I've read all the posts about Trader's Tender and the Traveler's log. I STILL don't understand the purpose of TRAVEL POINTS showing you can earn more tender (currently showing max of 2000). Why? You don't actually get any tender! Up until this month, it would STOP once you hit the system reward for hitting 1000 tender. Now it keeps going up to 2000. I currently have 1400 POINTS? All this does is make people think they can keep earning tender (the icon for tender is the SAME for points)! So you waste achievements in the log. I don't know if I'm explaining my issue clearly enough, but I hope someone can clarify. Searching travel points has no results.
