I can't get Thaelin Darkanvil to speak to me about the waygates, even though i've got the renown for them. Looking in Rubyscale Outpost /way 47.23, 90.20

Comment by glassleo

I had to relog after reaching renown 6 for Major Nanners to show up and give me the Rock Climbing quest.

Comment by Lyoo

I cant figure out how to get more renown.. been stuck at 3 & cannot find anymore quests.

Comment by BrianKuo

I didn't find any source to get Expedition Multi-Toolbox or it's schematic Schematic: Expedition Multi-Toolbox, so it might be removed from the game.
You can only dig Disturbed Dirt by Small Expedition Shovel or Sturdy Expedition Shovel (which is made by Blacksmithing).

Comment by Frostybolts

Anyone know roughly what renown level you end up at if you bang out all the straightforward side quests on the map?

EDIT: Ah crap, I did all the quests out in the world, plus everything that was up during the world quest bonus week, and I'm just shy of 12 renown

Comment by Gustomucho

There are some quests for Dragonscale renown in Azure Span at Camp Nowhere. It should bump you to renown 5 if you done the basic intro quests.

EDIT : After you complete the campaign, you have a map option to turn on "Quests for XXX renown". Makes it a whole lot easier to farm rep.

The Waygates are not entirely an account-wide unlock. I've unlocked three waygates on an alliance character on one server. My other level 70 alliance character on that server can also use them.
However, my level 70 horde character on another server can't activate the waygates. He has just reached a renown level at which he open his first waygate. It will be interesting to see whether he can use the other locations unlocked on my alliance character.

This is perhaps the most useless "guide" I've read. It tells me nothing I didn't already know and didn't give me any information that I need such as a list of quests. Really awful.

Comment by blupache

The Primal Infusion information is wrong.

Unatos is the Valdrakken Accord quartermaster.

At rep 25 you get your Primal Infusion from Cataloger Jakes, the Dragonscale Expedition's Keeper of Renown (at the Dragonscale Base Camp).

USELESS GUIDE EVER

I CAN SEE BY MY SELF WHAT SELLER SELLS... DONT NEED A GUIDE FOR THAT

Something I would like to know is which of the basic campaign quests, and which side quests, give rep with the Expedition—other than the ones that you get at certain renown levels. Is there a list of those (ideally with coordinates for where to pick up the starting quests for each) somewhere?

Comment by Giladrin

Pro tip for the Dragonscale rep grind:

Step 1: Get one of your characters to reputation level 20, and don't worry if everyone else is under 10 -- in fact that works better for a while.

Step 2: Put the TomTom pins for the Highest Peaks on all your alts.

Step 3: Once you have a level 20 Rep character, every peak is 500 rep for anyone under 20 and 750 rep for anyone under 10 before Darkmoon Faire and any other buffs are factored in.

That means that:

For anyone under 10, picking off 4 peaks in a week is enough to get the 3K rep (before DMF). Combine that with a week where Kazra's quest is the world quest one which gives you 2500 rep, which transforms into 7500 rep / 3 levels (before DMF). So you can get 4 rep levels a week just by flying for 5 minutes.

For anyone between 10 and 20, you'll need 6 peaks per week and get 5000 rep / 2 levels from Kazra (total of 3 for the week) from flying.

(Note that Kazra doesn't always give you a 2500 rep bonus - it seems most common on weeks where world quests are the thing -- but on weeks when it does happen, it's worth doing.)
