I installed the client and have uploaded data. How am I suppose to see my own personal characters?

Note that this apparently still refers to the old version of the Profiler, which is currently being replaced by a new system (which is in... "Open Beta" :P )

Good point, but I believe these instructions should still work. I should have mentioned that the "Characters" section has been replaced with "Profiles" section.
EDIT: Deleted my post that was causing confusion. My apologies for making things more difficult.

I am, however, not sure whether the client still attaches characters you play on to that list - it has a limit of 10 for non-premium members. We'll see whether there'll be a direct equivalent of the "Characters" tab later :)

I have tried this and it is not working. There is not a single character on my profile page. I have checked under profiles.

I hate that I'm always right :P

Thanks for pointing that out, we've updated the Client page to accurately reflect the new Profiler.

My toon is still not showing up under profiler. Your answer has not helped me at all. Can somone please see what the problem is?

The Client does not affect your list of Profiler characters anymore, and the FAQ has been updated for Client and Profiler pages to reflect this. It was a huge resource hog for the database and was responsible for some of the site's old instability.
To add character's to your page, you can add them from the
battle.net lookup option
.

Just curious, but so you can't create a general character with like a wishlist type thing anymore or anything? Also, I'm not finding the profiles option anywhere (unless I'm blind or something lol).

By going to
this page
, the left option will let you import an in-game character, and the right option lets you create a wishlist general character.
The link above can be found under the Tools menu.
