When it comes down to it, the choice of race has little-to-no effect on overall DPS. Sure, as a Human Warrior I can use
Every Man For Himself
to break out of certain effects and resume DPS quicker. Sure, an Orc will get a small bonus to Axes which goes great with
Poleaxe Specialization
. Sure, Trolls can regenerate health faster. But when it all comes down to it, racial choice has the lowest contribution to end-game DPS.
Even the Stats, which vary a bit at the lowest level, mean almost nothing when everything your wearing gives you big bonuses like +100 strength.
If you REALLY wanted to mix-max your stats, Tauren get the biggest starting Strength (25) with Orcs a bit behind (23). On Alliance, Dwarfs are the highest (22) with Draenei following (21). But you wont see too much of a difference at the higher levels from those differences. The real difference comes from armour/weapon choice, talent choice, and skill usage. It doesnt matter if you have 5 more strength then most other warriors, if you dont use slam because it takes time to cast.

I am confused here. What exactly you wanted to say?
I believe he's referring to the fact that people can chose the best race for their class; but if they can't play, it doesn't exactly matter how optimal the stats are.
