And if they did do something that moronic, it would actually show the vocal haters are right and Blizzard just doesn't care anymore.
Also, there has never been any child violence shown in actual World of Warcraft, and I don't think we are ever gonna see any. And if he did murder orphans, then he would be killed on the spot, not as some stupid raid boss.
Edit: In other words, reason I see this as just plain bad writing, would be the same if, after all the stuff they've written for Varian about controlling his anger and rage, then suddenly going 'You know what, screw it!' and turned him back into a rage-hole; it's a cop out and a bad attempt to cater to the Garrosh haters.
Edit 2: Even 'funnier', it's actually Varian who has almost been a child killer: He was more then willing to murder Med'an just for being the son of Garona after all; he got talked out of it, but it was still there(WoW comics).

That's the thing - Garrosh isn't a "bad" person. At least not on the level of WoW - and sometimes, just "bad" people die without getting redeemed. All of the raid bosses, up to now, had it coming a mile away. Why would it be so bad that the current boss would be making a terrible mistake and, in the attempt to stop him, we end up having to kill him?
Yes, it'd waste away the writing of Stonetalon and Ashenvale somewhat. It'd be consistent with the rest of the writing though.
And, to be honest, his character has been mishandled so bad that if his sacrifice means a better character can step out of the shadows, I'm all for it.
Yeah but we both know they'd rather just come out with a new character rather then work on an old one. And I know it's consistent, but still, can hope they'd actually really finish a real story line rather then just ass pulling and cop outing all the time.

Where as Garrosh was always kind of the same, its not like he started out good.First time we see him is as a sorrow filled, broken down wreck, about to jump off the despair horizon about his father.....then, we see him in Northrend trying to figure out war and he get's the epic Saurfang speech....then in Cata, we see him stepping up, and trying to live up to the good aspects of his father....and now in MoP all of that is gone as he grabs a villain ball and dances on it.

It couldn't possibly be worse than "there must always be a lich king".
Of course they can; if they make the corruption Fel, the thing Garrosh hates above all else for instance.
As for the topic at hand; I'm still just a little disappointed, but I guess I can wait and see what goes through with the expansion.

The AZEROTHIAN LAW OF UNIVERSAL EVIL.
Anything Evil happening in Warcraft is directly or indirectly caused by the Old Gods. You can literally play Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon with them replacing Kevin Bacon.
Actually the Burning Legion is completely independent of the Old Gods. Metzen at one point
considered
tying the corruption of Sergeras to the Old Gods, but as far as we know he never went forward with this idea.
Also, while the Scourge certainly made use of the presence of Yogg-Saron, there is no reason to assume the Old God was a deciding factor in the existence of the Scourge and certainly never controlled it.
Yeah, I'm sure if you use six degrees of separate you can connect most things with the Old Gods, but there's a big difference between "Hogger staged a revolt in the Stormwind stockades thanks in part to an elemental invasion of the prison, which was caused by the Cataclysm, which was caused by Deathwing, who was corrupted by the Old Gods." and "Hogger is an agent of the Old Gods".

OMG Garrosh is an agent of the Old Gods.
Garrosh is appointed by Thrall to be warchief because he has to leave. Thrall leaves because the world is breaking. The world is breaking because of Deathwing. Deathwing was corrupted by the Old Gods.
Well there you have it folks, we have to kill Garrosh in MoP because of the Old Gods.
In case it isn't obvious

Um....Nozdormu told Thrall that in Twilight of the Aspects: Pretty much every evil thing on Azeroth that happens is because of the Old Gods. Now, for the races not from Azeroth, it's still up in the air.

Considering we're talking about something the Titans were combating (the Old Gods), I wouldn't be surprised that it also encompasses non-Azerothian realities.
Eh, since other then a Proto-Old-God and a single Quarji encountered off of Azeroth, it's 'too' soon to tell if the Old God infection is through out the 'verse....unless the WMG about Dreadlords being Old Gods avatars ever comes true heh.
