Rage starve?

Hi warriors
I recently started pvp on my affliction lock and warriors-healer teams are quite hard to beat.
Hence the (maybe stupid) question: If neither my partner nor me would actually hit the warrior (both just trying to kite in mid range and go for the healer) would his dps suffer from lack of rage? If so, would that be a viable strategy?
Thanks.

I am not to experienced at PvP but I would imagine that if he is only gaining rage from attacking you he would suffer fomr lack of rage.

thats basicly the point of my question...do warriors have a source for rage that is sufficient to support their full dps (or close to that) if they get totally ignored in terms of attacking them.

As prot no. Prot rage is main source is incomming dmg. Other specs gain decent rage from swinging big 2 hand weps and gain rage through attacking.

thanks, so if i see a shield warrior i swich off thorns and ignore him ;)
How much is "decent"? In most setups i feel the dmg we put on the warrior is not really pressuring the healer a lot more than the dmg and mana drain i put on the healer. So even if it reduces dmg by only 10-20% or so it might be worth a shot.

i have to acknowledge this comment sounds somewhat a bit more pro than the others ;)
By avoiding to hit him you just make your tactics handicapped and easily counteractable as he can focus on peeling you and defending his buddie(s).
Avoiding him does not mean dont cc him, just dont damage him. Anyway, i thought this "tactic" would not work in the first place, but asking the experts never hurts...thank you.

That is precisly why I said I am not experienced at PvP

First off, whats your current setup?
Double dps or dps and healer? And what specific healer do you have problem with?
And secondly, a warrior is really dangerous that cant be denied, but do your really go for the warrior first if you see one?

Anyone else wondering why warriors are helping a lock figure out warrior vulnerabilities in PvP?
"lock" the thread...
hehe...if you take that angle you should worry much more why horde players are helping alliance players in this forum and vice versa.
I am playing with a resto druid and we dont have problems with healers, just with some melee like warriors and rogues. Usually we try to cc the dps and drain the healer (dots on the dps at the same time). The idea was not to dot warriors to decrease the amount of dps they can do.

Bloodrage + intervene is another source of rage.
