5 wipes and I start losing patience. If there's no good reason for us wiping or me staying (eg: new boss, tricky achievement, I'm already saved) then I'd probably leave.
10 wipes and I'm gone.

People that are saying sub 5 wipes are ADD kids. Encounters have more than one thing to learn, and often, you die before the second lesson the first attempt.

I agree with this. If it's a 3 phase fight and you wipe twice before phase 3 but are making progress- then reach phase 3 on your next attempt but wipe- would you give up? It really is about how competent the group is and I've seen more inexperienced people stick out a PuG than experienced folks. Usually it's one wipe and someone takes off running and screaming like an elitist jerk. I'll spend more time with patient people who learn and communicate with one another. I'm usually the last to leave a failing raid- I spent all that time getting there, why would I just give up?

Glad I do it with my guild.
And with my alt I only do semi-guildruns from decent guilds.

Last week I ran 10man with a PuG on my alt lock, And we almost wiped
on trash
. Needless to say, it got disbanded very quickly. The funny thing is though, that we still tried the boss once, despite the trash giving so much trouble.
To answer the OP's question: depends on the group. If the people are nice and semi-good, then I might stay. If I really, really want a boss down, I stay. But most of the time I find that's myself being stubborn ^^
That said, if healers (or anyone really) die by deep breath every time Ony uses it,
get the **** out!
