I've never understood how somebody got the idea to discriminate based on sexual orientation..
probably the same pricks who came up with discriminate based on skin color, religion, political affiliation, blood-lines, and ice-cream preference.

It's mostly fear, to what's different to oneself, to what one does not categorize as "normal", which is funny, because we all have a different definition for that word.

But really Milayu, I know exactly how you feel. I was there for over a decade. And the only way to get out is to open up. Just be yourself. And be proud. Proud of what and who you are. Stand up and don't let anyone bring you down.
Fight for your rights. Fight, damn it!

He's one of the very few people here I can honestly say I would never want to engage in conversation.
I know... I hate to admit he was a ^&*!ing genius when it comes to debates and discussions.

Yeah I've thought about that a lot of times. How can anyone be "normal" when everyone is unique and wholly different from everyone else? He's one of the very few people here I can honestly say I would never want to engage in conversation.
Yeah... Most people around here can discuss things and even become a bit aggressive in debates/discussions, but HSR was typically really aggressive right from the start. Puts the people you're debating against on the defensive, sure, but it's so... Well, like you say, I wouldn't be very eager to engage in conversation with him

If by genius, you mean he constantly attacked everyone else and forced them to give up the discussion then sure =P.

Religion itself isn't the problem. I'm a devout christian, who goes to church every sunday, prays every night, reads a passage of the bible twice a week to my kids, and try my best to uphold the 10 commandments to the best of my skill (The "No lie" part is RIDICULOUSLY HARD, its amazing how many little lies we gotta say every day)
the problem is, as always when people go into excesses. Everything in excess is negative. Even religion.

SWTOR is a fairly young game, still needs time to grow its little wings, polish its bugs, correct its flaws, and perfect its gameplay.
Furthermore, Torhead is also a young site, still on beta, and still incomplete.
both will need time to achieve a stronger and larger community.
Heck, right now at Torhead you can't choose an icon as your avatar, nor can you edit your profile, and several functions we take for granted on wowhead don't work there yet.
I also noticed HSR is the ONLY mod there, so maybe he's the only one who volunteered? do remember that moderating isn't a paid possition, its strictly volunteer job, with no pay, so on a semi-empty site, I'm guessing not many offered to take the arduous job (Don't think moderating is easy, because its not. For a start you need a cool head, :S something I lack and the main reason I don't think I'll be moderating any forum in the future)

Very much so. Religion itself is a very positive thing. It gives people structure, a belief to hold fast to, a set of morals and a way to hold themselves accountable to them. The problem happens when people attempt to use their religion as a weapon to force their will on others or as an excuse for hatred.
Yup; that's always going to be the biggest issue out there.
