Special Events in Torghast
Torghast will have some special events during the expansion. The second one will be Chorus of Dead Souls, the week from the 9 to the 15 of February 2021, according to calendar inside of the game. TLDR at the Key Points below.

Today known events:

Chorus of Dead Souls
Your first Maw power chest allows you to assume the form of a Deadsoul Chorus, granting you special abilities. While in this form, your party members can right-click you to join your form and cast on the move. Subsequent Maw powers enhance your Deadsoul Chorus form in a variety of ways.

Chorus of Dead Souls is another buff that you can get that enhances damage and healing as well as movement speed. You earn an extra button, Howling Soulcore. And on use, your abilities all get replaced.

Howling Soulcore: Assume the form of a Deadsoul Chorus, replacing your abilities with Maw based spells. While in this form, you have 50% increased damage and healing as well as 20% increased movement speed. Friendly players may merge with your form to add to the chorus.

Abilities gained:
1. Wailing Blast - A single target nuke and interrupt on a cooldown.
2. Scream of Pain - A spammable AoE ability.
3. Phase Shift - A 90% damage reduction for 1.5 seconds.
4. Twisting Shadows - A 30 yd teleport.
6. Return to Existence - Return to your normal form.

If you're playing with other party members, once they transform, all other players will be able to attach to the transformed player, allowing them to control the movement of all attached players! It is said to be funnier in a group.

The anima powers for Chorus of Dead Souls regardless if they chose the Howling Soulcore Anima Power, are:

Aegis of Lost Souls. While part of a Deadsoul Chorus, all damage taken is reduced by 25%.
Arcadne's Feasting Mark. Any time a Deadsoul Chorus that you are a part of casts Phase Shift, you are healed for (100% of Spell power) Health every 2 sec for 10 sec.
Arcadne's Ritual Mask. Any time a Deadsoul Chorus that you are a part of casts Twisting Shadows, you gain 50% Critical strike chance for 8 sec.
Contorted Hourglass. While part of a Deadsoul Chorus, time passes 20% faster for you.
Essence Siphoner. While part of a Deadsoul Chorus, increases Phantasma earned by 50%.
Improbably Shifting Orb. Increases the maximum number of charges of Phase Shift by 1.
One Piece of Many. While part of a Deadsoul Chorus, your damage and healing done is increased by 25%.
The Spectral Hands of Arcadne. While part of a Deadsoul Chorus, your Auto Attack damage is increased by 100% and your Auto Attack range is increased by 20 yds.

The Anima Powers that specifically affect the Transformed player, who has picked the Howling Soulcore Anima Power at the start and are likely only offered if you have chosen Howling Soulcore:

Aural Fracture. Wailing Blast ruptures the target's ears, inflicting an additional (15% of Spell power) Shadow damage every 2 sec for 12 sec.
Echoing Amplifier. The cooldown of Wailing Blast is reduced by 2 sec.
Screaming Statuettes. The radius of Scream of Pain is increased by 5 yds.
Shifting Sustenance. Phase Shift heals all nearby friendly targets within 10 yds for (300% of Spell power).
Incorporeal Weave. Phase Shift additionally increases your movement speed by 50% for 6 sec.
Twisted Idol. Increases the maximum number of charges of Twisting Shadows by 2 and reduces its cooldown by 2 sec.
Brand of Instability. While assuming the form of a Deadsoul Chorus, your movement speed is increased by 10%.
Dangling Soulcatcher. Any time you assume the form of a Deadsoul Chorus or return to corporeal form, you are healed for (500% of Spell power). This effect can only occur every 15 sec.
Soulburst Charm. Any time you return to corporeal form from existing within a Deadsoul Chorus, you inflict (200% of Spell power) Shadow damage and blind enemies within 15 yds for 8 sec. This effect can only occur every 15 sec.

Key Points

Event available only in Torghast normal.
Howling Soulcore will be offered in the first Anima Orb selection.
In a group, all players can choose Howling Soulcore and play independently or,
Players who don't select it, can "mount" into the transformed player, use their class abilites (this doesn't seem to be working for all players) and select anima without having to detach.

Rewards
There are no special rewards from this event. As of today the event is considered as a reward in its own.

So I thought dreadsoul chorus would let you combine your party into a single amalgam with increased power and allow everyone inside to cast the abilities.
This is not the case, apparently. People can mount inside of it for transportation but cannot cast anything, otherwise everyone is their own separate dreadsoul with the same abilities.
