This chain appears to start at 44.52, 45.43 in fairbreeze village (right near the FP) - Instructor Antheol - I've completed the whole zone except for Paladin Rescue (apparently you have to be level 90 as it requires killing level 90 elites) and this part (Theft Tracking) - I'm level 85 and this quest is not here for me... and sadly, no comments yet so I'm not sure what I have to do first? Maybe this one also requires level 90?

If you're having the same problem I had, check your quest log to see if you have the reenact the crime quest already. It is the second step in the chain. It leads you to the West Sanctum and does not show on the map. Use the item Arcane Timepiece at the West Sanctum in your bags and it will reveal the objective on your map. Hope this helps!

I thought I was also experiencing a bug with this quest because I couldn't find it, turns out I did it probably very early on but there is a pause along the way that I just zipped away from thinking I was done. If you can't find the NPC here run the quest check on every step until it comes out false. I was 1 step away from finishing which was a nice surprise.

I did all the quests in the area on my Blood Elf Paladin WAAAAAAAAAY long ago... I remember the quest where the students tricked him and we had to turn one of them into a pig or something? Anyway, I come to this NPC now and he has no quest for me... what am I missing?

This is a breadcrumb quest, leading into the "Theft Tracking" questline.

I found him! He's in the trees. /way 44.50, 45.36 (when I stand on his body). I had turned them into pigs in the earlier adventurers of a Holy BE Pally so this is just a continuation. It makes me happy.

To find him....

1. You had to have done the "pig" quest. That means you have to be Horde.
2. Alliance cannot do the second quest because Alliance couldn't take the pig quest.
3. You have to look in the trees. There's a flight point not far from where he is on the platforms up in the trees.
4. Once you find him (I used a BE Pally) the quest is super-cute.
5. Enjoy your reward!
