If you're silly like me, picked up this quest then went to the Darkmoon Faire / logged out, came back and the portal is gone. Fear not! Just abandoned the quest, he'll be right back in place, re-accept and he'll open another portal!

If you grow weary of Alleria talking on every character you log into for the first time during 11.2 (and get pushed A Shadowy Invitation) you can use the addon MuteSoundFile to mute the Sound ID 6723211

To also mute the voicelines when turning in A Shadowy Invitation and accepting this quest, use these IDs:

With the release of chapter 4 the skip requirement seem to have moved.

That's a Wrap is now needed before the skip becomes available (again) on alts.

So basically now that we are in week 2, complete all available story quests to unlock the skip on alts.

Btw, you can pick up the new cloak even without doing the skip from the same NPC as before.

Since Alleria goes with Locus Walker into the portal, what does that do to the Lingering Shadows quest (if you haven't done it)?

Is there a way to get it later?

I ask because I accepted her quest first on an alt then accepted the locus walker quest and entered the portal and now the quest that skips to the Reshi Wrap doesnt pop up.

And, yes I have done it on my main and the skip quest was available to other alts.

I had completed a shadowy invitation but this quest was not available to me..

Turns out if you start the quest chain A Meeting with Minn'da you will need to complete all those first, then Locus-Walker will offer this quest again.
