If you haven't turned in Titanic Failsafe, this event/quest cannot be completed. You can only mount the stormrook and only then does the NPC's appear. If you dismount the stormrook for any reason (like completing a task) all players and NPC's despawn and the theater is empty.

Theater Troupe has bugged twice already today.
Picked up the weekly quest and spoke to the person to start the event. I participated in each task I was given and easily got the 50 required approval from audience but the event wouldn't give me a complete quest.
I'm also not in a raid group.

1. Pick up the weekly quest The Theater Troupe from Stage Manager Huberta at /way #2248 56.4 51.4 Stage Manager Huberta.
2. When it starts, it will tell you to talk to the same questgiver to join the event.
3. Complete event tasks and profit.

*Note#1: You can't do it/ you don't get rewarded for doing this if you haven't completed the campaign on at least one character.
*Note#2: Interact button is easier than clicking the tiny critters you need to punt.

Just tried to complete the world event. We all pulled the fallen hologram but couldn't move it. Seems to be bugged

After pulling the weeds and picking up next quests, I go to the middle of the arena, but nothing is happening. I also tried abandoning the 'The Theatre Trop' quest and re-accepting it but that didn't help. I'm not sure how to start the next part....

sidenote: I was queued for a dungeon and did the dungeon after starting the first quest, and maybe that bugged it out - I don't now. First time so maybe I just don't know how to start the show.

UPDATE - duh just noticed the timer, I had an addon blocking it

This can be done on every lvl 80 characer once per week.
Alts below lvl 80 will see the trove as reward in the event timer at the world map, but can't accept the weekly quest.

I think it's worth noting that I was able to complete this quest in a raid group. It's best to group up to be sure to get all three levels of the actor's chests.

Make sure you complete some of the quests in the campaign otherwise you wont be able to talk to Stage Manager Huberta, the quest that I had to complete was The Proscenium, The Cavalry is Here and Fire in the Hole

Apparently some tasks don't work for the quest? I did well over 200 audience approval but the quest ended at 49/50.

For those who are struggling to figure out how and when to start this. There is a timer of when the event starts (ever 45 mins) and can be found by opening up your map and hovering over the theater icon, and when it's less than 5 mins it will show up in your objectives. It took me forever to figure this out so I hope this helps others like me out.

It seems that the quest itself is weekly, but you can do the activity as many times as you want (at the top of the hour), in order to get Expert Actor's Chest, Novice Actor's Chest and Amateur Actor's Chest, mainly to get crests at whatever you crest level is.

Just completed this on Doomhammer-US and got none of the chest rewards, not even the Amateur one. I started from the beginning and participated in every task given to me. Maybe we didn't have enough people participating at that time, or the weird lag screwed things up. I did get credit for the main weekly quest, so I don't know what the issue is.

I see the NPC, and I remember I completed its quest few weeks ago, but I never see the weekly quest again, week after week, on any alt. Why the NPC does not suggest me the new weekly quest ever?

Although it may be obvious to some, wasn't to me as I just started playing again for the 20th anniversary.
If you are not seeing the quest despite hitting lvl 80, you need to finish all the story mode. Namely you have to complete all the quests through to Azj-Kahet leading up to Surface Bound which unlocks all the world quests, including this one.

If you have not completed the story, then that's why you don't see it. When you finish this on one toon, it opens it up for all alts as well.
Hope this helps those returning for this.

For anyone who cannot see this quest: regardless of if you are level 80 or not, you must complete Surface Bound on at least one character for this quest to show up.

I guess it's better than the archaeology world quest thing from Dragonflight even if there's no vendor with neat transmogs. Because people who don't talk to an NPC don't affect the event like they did with Dragonflight where they just afked the whole event. It drove down points for everyone involved but they were still rewarded if you got to certain thresholds.
With that said I did just watch someone enter the event at the end when you are supposed to put on a costume and they kinda just stood there. Honestly ive seen a few times im pretty sure they spoke to the NPC to take part in the event then afked. Need's to be more measures against that sort of thing like a minimum contribution.

If you accept the weekly quest and then at some point you realise you need to check an alt so you log out for a 1min, don't. For some reason you may not receive participation credit

If you want to check if you've done the Theater Troupe event on a given character without actually traveling to the theater, you can make this into a macro:
/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(83240))
Since this is still one of the quickest and easiest ways to pick up a weekly trove, I hope this macro helps some of you out.

From Dragonflight, think Superbloom. Think Big Dig. Think Community Feast. Now in TWW... it's Theater Troupe, where everyone's participation counts if you want to maximize your rewards. Accept the quest, and look at the time. Theater Troupe starts every hour at the 1-minute after mark. Ie. 8:01, 9:01, 10:01, etc. After having the quest accepted, talk to Stage Manager Huberta when it begins, to let her know you are reporting for duty. Then follow all of the assignments given to the best of your ability.

Theatre Troupe points will accumulate with every bit of participation you and others complete. For each assignment like painting the scenery, there will be points added to the community. If you are supposed to kill as many gorlocs as possible, do so in order to see the points increase. See Gerwigg following you around? Click him each time for more points. Also, bowing at the end, use the action bar not the emote /bow. The last contribution can still tick some points for the group.

Each actor's chest is automatically dropped into your bag at 2000, 4000, and 6000. As of recently, there is an additional actors' chest just for completing the event. If there aren't enough people, or there aren't enough people properly following through with their orders, then the points aren't going to accumulate as much or as quickly.

Completing the weekly can score resonance crystals, crests, gear from the Trove (the chest reward at the end), and if you're lucky, a profession pattern/plans may be there that you can use or sell as they are not bound. Doing the can also be a credit for completing a world event in TWW, so be sure to check with the NPCs by the Dornogal flight path to see if The Call of the Worldsoul comes up, and if so, it's worth grabbing it first before heading to the theater for the credit.
