Mount up on your drake and ride into one of the ponds in the area. They are small and dark and within the perimeter. You'll get a large bubble over your head. Find the center of several flames and activate your extra action button to extinguish them. They didn't visually go out for me and the same flames could be "extinguished" multiple times.

Pick up the 'water' by riding your mount around on the east side of the battlefield within the shield (58.5, 34.6 - the brownish spot with ice chunks). When you have the 'waterball' above your head just fly low (so your Land's Blessing blue aura appears below your drake) over the small fires in the battlefield; done in 15 seconds. No need to manipulate the extra action button.

The water pond is located at 58.6:34.6, which is actually outside of the quest perimeter.

I couldn't complete the quest because there was no extra action button.

Interesting fact: You don't have to land neither to grab the bubble (except for the 1rst time) or to drop the water onto the fire*. You can do both tasks on the fly while moving, but close to ground, provided you got the vigor. If you do it on the fly this quest can be completed in just 2 passes.

* The trick here is to drop the water exatly while passing above the spot, not a bit before as you might do when calculating speed and momentum.

If your are stuck on this quest and can not get your percentage of fires put out to go up. If you have dropped the quest and reacquired it and cant get any traction at all. You my friend are in a raid and need to leave. :P

I went to all the spots where I'm supposed to get water - nothing there. quit the game, have a beer, watch tv - more rewarding.

After what seemed like an age I realised that the fires to be extinguished are not the ones in the camp. Don't be as stupid as me, head out onto the frozen lake to extinguish the fires.

The fires you have to put out ARE NOT near the quest giver, but in Fyrak's field ! Just fly by low and you'll get credit to the progress bar.

Burning Ice

Extinguish fires across the djaradin camp.

Description

Whatever magic the djaradin are employing is lighting the ice on fire out there, <name>. We can't let this spread to the wider Span. It has to be stopped before it consumes everything. Gather as much water as you can while on that drake of yours and drown the fires. Hopefully that will be enough to extinguish them.
