Stay close to Cork.

Running ahead of him will cause the quest to not complete. I tried relogging and while Cork would appear after I logged back in, he would not move. Even relogging next to the objective marker did not work. I had to abandon the quest and start over, being sure to stay with Cork as he walked through Orgrimmar.

Basically, if you've come from the exiles reach island you need to finish this quest. If you run ahead or leave Cork for any period of time he resets and you have to run back to the start to collect him. So don't mount up (Thinking Chauffeured Mechana-Hog here) and don't bother with the likes of Ghost Wolf as he won't run anymore than about 98% normal.
If you don't complete this quest you can't use Chromie Time to level etc.
Would be nice if they changed this so as long as you get to the stables you're all done!

You can skip this quest by just going to Grommash Hold and talking to Warlord Breka Grimaxe. I wish I would have know this before I ripped all my nipple hair off...

So, this is the first time I've done the Exile's Reach questline, mostly out of curiosity. Interesting to note that Cork seemingly has slightly different dialogue if you're an orc:

"Yeah, it's hot and dusty, and the orcs ain't always hospitable-- present company excluded --but it's got charm, huh?"

This is a great quest for beginners. First quest out of exile reach, bugged if you don't perfectly follow a character running at a very random pace.
It teaches you:

How to use wowhead for workarounds
How to abandon quests
How to report a bug... kidding, this game's report bug interface seems to be a link to the website, which tells you to do it in game, which redirects you to the website.

Finding Your Way

Speak with Rohaka Tuskmaul at the stables.

	Ask a guard for directions to the Stable Master (1)
	Speak with Cork Fizzlepop (1)
	Ride with Cork Fizzlepop to the Stables (1)

Description

Orgrimmar's a big city. Way too big to explore on foot. Warlord Grimaxe has arranged for you to receive a mount to help you get around. She said to speak with Rohaka at the stables... but I can't seem to remember the way there. Don't worry, <name>! All we need to do is ask a guard for directions. If you ever need help finding something, the city guards will show you where to go. Let's ask a nearby guard for directions to the stable master. Then we can be on our way!
