You rescue them by killing the Zanj'ir Trapper who is keeping them captive

Find out that yesterday and today this quest is bugged.
I don't know if it gets fixed or something else but I cant find any of the 7th Legion Captives ...
Except for 5 trapped by a 80k Mob next to the Horde Cave.
No Trapper carrys any of them and even not the Horde Hornorbounds

Look for the elite Naga that has a chain of captives with him. In my experience, he gives credit for 4-5 captives per kill. I killed countless trappers and got ZERO captives so it looks like killing the elite is a quicker way to go even though it takes a while to respawn.

We cannot progress in Nazjatar, until this is fixed! Is this even being worked on? Come on blizzard!

This quest is bugged in 9.0.5 at the time of this writing.

There is one mob that has the captives. It's an elite named Zanj'ir Destroyer. Has plenty of health, so many can tag to get credit. Seems to work cross-faction, too.

The mob can be found at /way 41.22 79.78

Camp that spot, complete quest, and move on!

/tar Zanj'ir Destroyer

Yes, the mission is bugged. I did this and it worked for me.
Take the quest, exit the cave and immediately to the left there is a Zanj'ir Destroyer which usually always have 4 prisoners.
Kill him and wait for him to respawn with 4 other prisoners and that's it, Quest complete.

it's been fixed!
the naga are once again walking around with captives in chains.

Hey, there's a workaround for the bug! /smile...
They are not going to fix it anytime soon because of that...
I feel bad for the guy trying to start Nazjatar for the first time at 4am...
