If you're mounted when you try to pull the Inn through the portal, it may bug out and require you to abandon the quest and to do it over again. Hopefully, they get that fixed. But if it doesn't work for you, make sure you're not mounted.

You need to build your fort:

Pick up Kyanite-Lazer Embiggener under the tree and use it to build Supply Hat.
Use portal near the rock wall, slay a mob and use the portal once more to summon Inn.
At the northern part of area use Plunger to "build" Fishing Hut.
Finally, use Engineering-Warks-In-A-Bomb near the west edge to get Engineering Works.

Heads up on this quest chain

Everything around you will be level 120. So you probably shouldn't go chasing after herbs & mining, nor after rares and chests. Just stick to the quest chain.
On the Krazzlefrazz Outpost, when building some of the buildings I had my char just sitting there.
But then the building popped up and my char was now stuck.

Tried the "help I'm stuck" but it just hearthed me to my hearthstone point, which was still set to Vale of Eternal Blossoms.
Took me a little while to figure out how to get all the way back to the outpost to finish this.
Go back to the ship at the docks in The Port of Zandalar, where you picked up the War Campaign. Go the captain on the top rear deck.
Talk to them and they'll let you sail back to Drustvar.
But remember, everything around you is 120. And you have no goblin trike to safely get you to the outpost.
So I had to pick a careful path and run across country to get back there.
There's no safe way I found on the most direct path I could find, but you may have better luck.
Thank goodness I wasn't knocked off my mount so I finally made it there, hurt but alive.

I guess the answer to getting stuck is if you can, move out of the way the instant you can when a building is about to pop up.

Sorry.
Does anyone know the gun model that the Kyanite-Lazer Embiggener uses?
Went through the new gun models from BfA on Wowhead, and nothing matches.
Is it an older one that I need to go dig up, or did they make that awesome model just for the second or so that this quest uses it?

If you're trying to figure out the special hut part, look for that extra action button ;-)

For anybody with horde hunters out who were curious. Sadly, you can't tame the giant rat. (Thought the giant rat was immensely amusing by the way. Dangers of enlargement lasers)
Also had a bit of a buggy encounter with the . Kept saying it was out of my line of sight. Just stand right on top of it and that should help. Loved the "Reach inside and pull something out that feels more like a building" part too.

Recently i had a problem with this quest. It bugged when i got the weapon and even tho i got the action button to press to construct the supply hut but nothing happened.
The way to deal with this bug is to actually abandon the quest and then relog,if you relog while in the quest it doesn't fix the bug,so first abandon the quest then relog and get the quest again.Hope it helps if you have the same issue.Good luck.

If the 'Kyanite-Lazer Embiggener' is bugging out and doesn't do anything when pressing the action button while having the small hut selected, then simply exiting the game and logging back in should fix it. That's what I did to fix my problem, no abandoning required.

This is still buggy, although did not require me to log off. I just kept pressing the action button and it eventually went off and spawned a Giant Rat. Might be quicker to still do the abandon and relog trick.

As of 03/20 this is still bugged, but I did notice why, the house floats off the ground, however if you pick up the rifle and stand next to the house after a few seconds it should go back to the ground and then you can use your rifle.

So no need to abandon the quest or relog.

EDIT:

As of recent mini-patch the house now is on the ground and the gun works perfectly now.

When I picked up the Kyanite-Lazer Embiggener and tried to inflate the Supply Hut, I would hear a sizzle sound and nothing would happen.

I tried the abandon quest and log out suggestion a couple of times but it didn't work.

If the above suggestion doesn't work enter the following into your chat panel:

/run ExtraActionButton1.style:Hide()

That allowed me to use the "lazer".

If you still have bugs with this quest, try DISMISSING every pet of yours BEFORE getting the Kyanite-Lazer Embiggener. This worked for me.

I tried the abandoning + relogging, simply relogging trick multiple times with no success. I'd seen a giant rat was supposed to spawn so with nothing else to lose, I killed all the foraging rats around the mini hut. Clicked the button and behold! A hut spawned + a giant rat. I'd been spamming the button before killing the rats so not sure if it was a combination or what. But that was the only way for me to get the hut to grow.

Also saw another player come in to do the quest after me while all the foraging rats were gone and it seemed like they were able to get it to spawn immediately.

I was having trouble with this quest just like everyone else.. I tried everything that was suggested here and it wouldn't work.. I finally just kept clicking the extra action button in frustration, after several clicks it finally work..

I had the Embiggener Lazer bug out on me and none of the suggested fixes here worked for me but for some reason after unsheathing my weapons the extra action button worked just fine :/

None of these suggestions helped. I just kept abandoning the quest and clicking the gun and it eventually worked.

None of the suggested methods of abandoning and logging worked. Tried inviting someone to my group that was also doing the quest - after they joined, I was immediately successful in using the item to complete the quest

As of today, 09/21/21, the quest is still buggy, BUT: Try going afk naturally.

All I did to fix the problem of me not being able to use the laser, was going to the bathroom and wandering off for a bit with the pets. I came back to look up the comments on Wowhead and magically, it worked!

January 2nd 2022 laser is still bugged. Saw someone else say they went afk and it worked when they came back. So I simply tried to /afk and then move to remove it, and the laser worked immediately.

Did it post DF pre-patch. Nothing worked at first, what ended up working was picking up the laser, then putting in

/click ExtraActionButton1

I just didn't have the actual button pop up on screen, but the macro worked to click the button that was otherwise invisible for me. Don't need to make an actual macro, just pop that line of text into chat and boom.

Relogging or abandoning wasn't working for me, so I just flew far away from the area and flew back. The game briefly showed the wrong phase for a second, but once it corrected itself, I was able to use the item.

Description

I already did a bunch of the leg-work for settin' up our foothold. All we gotta do is finish deploying all the instant-base technology, and we'll be good to go here in Drustvar. Why don't you go finish the base building. I'm gonna see if I can salvage any wolfercycle parts.
