If your struggling with making the rockets work like I did you gotta stand right on the edge of the land where the tree at the waterfall is. How do you actually capture the supplies though? All I'm doing is flying backwards... :/

I encountered the same bug. I didn't find him at Nook of Konk. Carbonite pointed to Strongarm Airstrip, which is incorrect. I played a hunch and found him at Grookin Hill, I was unable to turn in the quest although I did pickup the Furious Fowl quest. I abandoned 'So Thorny' thinking I could find it later. Currently, that seems unlikely. A ticket to a GM may have been a better a choice.

These are extremely hard to get. I killed more than ten water sprites before I got my first emergency supply. I killed over fifty to get the five. They are cute little buggers and I felt like I was going to kill every last one before this quest was done. But you must finish this before you go up in the gyrocopter and kill the monkeys. It will let you go up but you don't have anything to drop without finishing this quest.

I had about a 50% drop rate on the quest item, but the first drop didn't come until my third or fourth kill. After that, it was fairly steady. I had no problem turning in the quest.

Seems to be a typo in the turn-in for this quest as of patch 5.4.8, it says to speak to Rivett at Hellscream's Fist - which is the airship that was shot down about 20 quests earlier.

Just kill the Water Sprite in the area. They drop the supplies.
DO NOT TRY TO WASTE TIME USING THE ROCKET OR ANYTHING ELSE JUST KILL THE MOBS.

for people who have issues finding the turn-in NPC, i was able to turn it into a different version of the same NPC in another location. i found Rivett Clutchpop at 30.7, 52.2, and i was able to turn the quest into him there. the NPC pops up in different locations under various IDs depending on where in the zone questline you are, so you can search wowhead for his name (rivett clutchpop) and look around at the various location pins.

Description

The crate, once full of desperately needed supplies, has been thoroughly pillaged.

A quick scan of the area shows evidence left behind by the thieves. Icy thorns, just like the ones on the water sprites on the shoreline to the east.

This is a life or death situation for your band of survivors. Those supplies need to be retrieved from these thieving pests and returned to camp.
