It's not the blighted ones you dealt with in the earlier quests, but instead you just have to walk outside and target the ground where the normal elks and grizzlies are. Less of a trip than it might seem at first.

Go to 41,49 or 40,55 and start throwing the Vaccine on the Snowfall Elk & Arctic Grizzlys.

i found a grizzly inside a tree at 38.2, 57.9
came near it, did aoe to be sure they "come to me" and threw the vaccine and got the quest criteria
as he evaded i went few yards away and went out of combat and repeated

fast and safe way to do it whit all those ppl questing nearby

If you don't mind missing out on the quest reward, and a little bit of exp and gold, don't hand this quest in!

You can use the Pack of Vaccine anywhere, including Azeroth/Outlands, and in Raids/Instances.

Throwing random bottles at people never ceases to make me laugh!

Metallica has a song named "Where The Wild Things Are". Might be a quote of that as well.

And well they also have a "Wherever I May Roam", so this quest might be considered as a combo refference =)

Anyone else surprised that the inoculation actually worked? I mean, these guys, are trying like mad to create their "blight" that I have yet to see actually work, and they manage to create a cure to keep the cuddly little forest animals safe from the scourge rot? I almost feel bad for the plague-bearers rep after this.

I've also just tried this quest. No credits for curing the animals :(

Created a ticket for this problem and got the generic "this isn't a problem that we are aware of" reply.

OK Correction, I was just being stupid you need to target these animals:
Snowfall Elk
Arctic Grizzly

Instead I was trying to cure the animals from this quest

I think it has both the book and songs in mind. It isn't the first reference to a song . Furthermore, there was another quest called "The end of the line", also at agmar's hammer, which is also a metallica song

I am having the same problem. It counted all five elks, but it has only counted 3/5 Arctic Grizzlies. Has a solution been found, or should i just abandon quest and redo?

I have problems mates, when i throw bottles to the elks nothing happens it just heals them and doesnt count as a saved elk, pls help...

when completing this as an enhancement shaman you will get awarded the much useful Crossbow of the Hardened Ranger

Where the Wild Things Roam

Soar Hawkfury at Agmar's Hammer in the Dragonblight wants you to use the Pack of Vaccine to vaccinate 5 Snowfall Elk and 5 Arctic Grizzlies.

Provided item:

	Pack of Vaccine (1)

Description

Inside this pack are several vials containing the vaccine that Sintar created. I now want you to search the nearby woods for Snowfall elk and arctic grizzlies. When you locate the animals, find a safe distance and throw a vial in their general direction. The vial will shatter and release a fine gas that will act as the inoculating agent. The beasts merely have to step inside the gas and they will be vaccinated - ultimately saved.

Inoculate as many of the beasts as you can and return to me.
