Over 300+ kills, and no Watcher has spawned.

Over 200 kills today. We have been covering all 7 resp spots for few hours. No spawn. Be prepared for this if you need this achievement.

Is there a max tag for this to get credit? I was in a raid group and only 5 got credit for the kill. The watcher greyed out.

Do NOT farm this in a raid group if you're going for Combating the Corruption unless you can quickly split up into two parties on the same shard. The tag cap on this is capped at 5 from a single party/raid before it goes grey for everyone else in the same party/raid and those that it turns grey for will NOT get credit. We managed to do this after a painful 5.5 hour farm that nearly ended in disaster but we managed to split the parties up in time, then reset the mob and re-tag.

N'Zoth and his Horrific Visions doesn't have anything on how scary it is trying to find a Corrupted Watcher in Uldum.

This mob is very unfortunately faction tagged. I saw him on my alt, switched over to my main that needs him for the achieve, and by the time I got there a member of the other faction had tagged him. Was in WM off so there was nothing I could do except watch him die and not get credit.

Been farming all seven spawn points of Voidwarped Watcher for three consecutive days. Spent 25 hours so far, and yet i can't finish this achievement. There are a lot groups that are frustrated for not being able to get this one guy to spawn. This is the most ridicolous achievement i've seen in the game, even 5k pvp pet battles, 1k tumors or 500 honor lvl is more understandable than killing over and over 70 mobs per hour....

Edit. Just clear all area from every corrupted mob to get your desired target to spawn :)

I had spent 5+ hours killing Corrupted Watchers on multiple occasions without ever seeing one. Usually, I killed them at quiet times during the middle of the night.

After seeing comments where some people got it to spawn in 30 minutes and others have had no luck for 28 hours, I figured there might be a precondition other than just killing Voidwarped Watcher that must be met. Instead of killing all 7 Watchers over and over again, I decided to first:

1. Clear the zone of any other Corrupted mobs that I could find.

2. Kill the 5 Voidwarped Watchers in Neferset. At item level 480, this takes me about 2 minutes.

3. Since the Watchers take 7 minutes to respawn, I would spend that time going around hunting any other Corrupted mobs.

I repeated this a few times and noticed that the same Corrupted Putrefaction keeps spawning in the exact same spot every 2-3 minutes. When I was finally successful, I was trying to time this Corrupted Putrefaction to be dead during the ~2 minute window when my Watchers would be respawning.

One of my 5 Watchers finally respawned as Corrupted when I did that. Once I killed it and got the achievement, the same Corrupted Putrefaction was also respawned.

I'm not sure if it was strategy or dumb luck, but it could be the system has a threshold of how many Corrupted mobs there ought to be at any time. It could be Watchers won't respawn Corrupted if there are too many other live Corrupted mobs.

So after spending yet another an hour looping down south clearing corrupted and watchers and not getting it, I went up north and there were at least 6 corrupted blobs up... if there is a zone cap on corrupted mobs you'll never get it without a person looping up north to keep it clear as well.

Found this mob after farming for about two hours. I alternated between Neferset and Lost City and eventually found one. I tried the other strategies posted in here and they didn't work for me. However, I was chatting with a person who had found it a day prior around the time I did; I found mine at roughly 1730 server time hours and he told me he found his around 1800. This is probably irrelevant, but I thought I'd share any ways.

Destroying the tumor next to an ever-respawning corrupted putrefaction seems to un-bug it, it won't respawn afterwards!

Also, if you want to make sure that no other corrupted mobs are up, don't forget the south-eastern coastline with the fishes, jellys and putrefactions. I'm still a bit sceptical if there's a zone maximum of corrupted mobs at the same time, considering I often found 5+ up when entering an empty map, but it indeed worked for me. I found a Corrupted Watcher after ~30 minutes once I started to make sure that no others were up.

I had the buggy Corrupted Putrefaction on my server and it kept respawning and respawning. I had already done the tumor quest so I couldn't try to reset it either. What I ended up doing is switching warmode where I didn't see a buggy corrupted putrefaction. After that, instead of trying to clear all corrupted minions randomly, I decided to leave one corrupted minion alive that WASN'T a putrefaction, and cleared all others (It was a Rare Corrupted Bonestripper in this case). I did another run around the zone just to make sure there aren't any other corrupted minions other than the one I left (including the southern waters and the eastern coastline). Finally, I killed the last corrupted minion and then cleared the Watchers. Next time I came back from my loop, one of the Watchers spawned as Corrupted Watcher, and finally I was able to complete the achievement. Good luck to anyone else dealing with this insanity!

So after spending 4 hours killing watchers and getting nothing, someone on discord messaged me this: Hey. Seen your Corrupted Watcher message. Just heads up, in case you don't know - there is a server limit on number of spawned Corrupted X mobs so killing Watchers all day long will yield nothing. Once you kill all (6?) Watchers, fly around killing ANY corrupted mobs you find. Only then new Watcher will have a chance to spawn as Corrupted". Worked like a charm for me, after days of mind-numbing grinding I got the achievement on 1st respawn wave. Less than five minutes after I spawned a corrupted watcher. Goodluck all and thank you to the person on discord who messaged me!

430+ kills still nothing, no other corrupted mobs up (checked the waters, checked stealthy assassins, no bugged blobs). I'm on a super dead realm without any activity in the assault.

So frustrating.

edit - 461 kills and its done! took like 12h.
