What about farming the new mats for professions that are coming in this zone. If I want to farm efficiently then I have to unlock flying, which means I have to do the Cypher, even if I don't enjoy it. So Blizzard is once again forcing me play WoW a certain way.
This is horrible unnecessary timegating. Reduce research time to 1 day, 7 days per talent makes no sense.Or make it so you can research all 4 at same time cutting down timegating to just under a week.
Ugh? Didn't we learn in korthia how to fly on the standalone maps. Now this bs
launching a concept as an expansion and gating the content behind time metric
Cool, sounds nice and quick. The timeframe (two weeks) is fair enough but imo the individual time if the research is overblown. Probably better if they lowered the research time and made it get the second tier of each branch researched instead, but I suppose people would complain about "being forced to grind currency", even though you're likely to have more than enough by the end of the two weeks if you just do the world quests.People always condescendingly tell collectors "it's optional" when they criticism a bad reward system and they always berate casual players wanting better ilevel gear with "why do you need it". Yet they always complain about "needing" flying, which has no fundamental purpose in dungeons, raids or PvP, and in this zone especially there's no need to go here daily if you don't care about the zone itself because there's no power incentive other than for outdoor zones. This is literally the first zone in a long time where flying matters least to a raider, unless they actually want to do stuff in the zone, in which case you can earn the progression the same way you tell other players to raid if they want better gear.
Oh, so another timegate. Very surprising. *cough*
I won't mind if the mats to do the research aren't a pain to get so I can have it in 2 weeks without grinding for hours and hours.
eh back in the day it took a month and a half of dailies to get the gold for flight assuming you weren't an alchemist and transmuting gold
What I'd love is for more mobs to not be blind on the Z axis. In D&D almost every NPC I'd use for combat will at least carry a range weapon around. Fly within range of the Mawsworn, they all raise those crossbows and turn your mount into shish kebab. As for the time it takes, I am one of the people who got flying in 8.2 before the first reset. And it was possible (for humans at least ) but it was challenging. This seems like you'll be able to do it at a leisurely pace.Raid loggers, PVPers and M+ runners don't even need to go to Zereth Mortis beyond just finding the flight path for the former so they can get in the raid so what's the issue?
@NeryssaDid I get this wrong? You have to finish one to start with the next? So roughly 36 days total? From the: "you need to research the talents in order, as the previous talent is required for the next tier"And:"You must have fully researched Metrial Understanding in order to unlock this talent."
Oh COME ON Another Time Gating even with the HUGE 9.2 delay who is late for several months !So sick about those fake-content systems to make naive people believe that there is content and thus to retain players dishonestly.
that doesn't sound too bad, especially if it is account-wide. it's a fair compromise between the days of flying straight away and the grindfest of all-exalteds
