I loved it...The only thing i don't like is the King in the "Dragon" part, Deathwing should be there.
Sick!
Absolutely gorgeous! I've never heard of Maid being used instead of Jack before, so that would throw me off for a while. I actually expected Leeroy Jenkins to be the Joker.
I'm wondering why in the 12K goal, Ysera is the Ace of Hearts, rather than Alexstrasza, who was given dominion over the dragons, even the other Aspects, by the Pantheon? Ace ranks higher than the face cards; hell, even Nozdormu is of a higher rank card in this deck than Alexstrasza, who he answers to.
"The card back features our current "villainess," and the jokers are inspired by life and death."Um...I would say more Light and Death but what ever floats your boat.
Not sure about Calia being represented as a joker, but I sure would love to add this deck to my little collection of playing cards.
or you could buy 124 regular decks of cards for the same price. remind me why we pay to have ads blocked on this site again ....
Nice art!
I think it would be cool to make dragon cards asymmetrical, in order to show the dragon from on top and the human one on the lower half or vice versa. I don't get why Deathwing and Ysera are in dragon froms, and Chromie is in a human one. The deck is nice and I def would consider getting it if it weren't for that equality agenda baked into it (which is weird by itself since it shows that only female characters may hold a servant/maid role). I mean I'm totally down with the whole equality thing , but a deck of wow playing cards is hardly an appropriate medium for that.
I can't believe we never had something like this before. Wonderful
So well done. Wish we could play cards in game, like an in universe card game, not hearthstone or poker.
These are gorgeous. I really do wonder though.. if this isn't officially endorsed by Blizzard then this might be a cease and desist letter in the making due to the use of (probably) copyrighted characters?
This is a pretty standard deck, as far as card structure. Italian-style would have had two junior court cards instead of the one - most tarot decks have a Knight and Page, for example. It would have been interesting to see Queen, King, Maid, Youth (or maybe Page, Squire for gender-neutral card names) for a 56-card deck. The floral decorations are absolutely wonderful and so creatively done.
