Just echoing comments from the first page, but "high elf" eye colors and sexy body jewelry for Blood Elves? RIP what's left of the population balance. There's going to be more free to play ERPers in Goldshire than people playing the actual game.
Oh hell ya guys finally we get our hot black belfs.
Those look amazing! I can't wait for all these customisations. Always found WoW lacking considering you're meant to RP.
That would be marvellous
It's specifically told that the transformation into these paler-skinned High Elves happened over thousands of years due to the Sunwell's power and their magic usage.Lorewise, they just don't exist unless you count the alternate universe dark-skinned high elf called "Devi". But even in that book called Twilight of the Aspects, she's an alternate universe High Elf who's only described to have 'dark skin', not black, just 'dark'.I've been trying to figure out how to make them lorewise possible, but even a 'secret island group' isen't going to cut it, because they need to be in Quel'thalas for the Sunwell's power to turn them into High Elves in the first place.Let me give you guys an example of darker-skinned varations of races in WoW having plausible origins.Humans: Darker metal vrykul turning into darker vrykul, then humans as they migrated south and possibly settled on islands for a while.Dwarves: Dark stone Earthen turning into Dark-skinned Dwarves, like Dark Irons and dark-skinned dwarves.Gnomes: Dark metal robo-gnomes used in titan facilities becoming dark after the curse of flesh hits them.See, it makes sense for the other races. But High/Blood Elves.. It just makes no sense.I'm no racist, and I'm loving these ethnic choises on some other races. But this is just.. odd.Heck, if Blizzard finds us a good explaination, I'm fine with this, otherwise.. Not so much.I'm sorry if this angers some people. And, I think this is topical due to the Blood Elf that is shown. I was too late on the original page. Please consider leaving this up because I'm open for explainations, I really am.
After thinking on this for a bit longer, maybe Blizzard will go with the "We were hidden on an island group north east of the Isle of Quel'danas. We had a conduit spreading the Sunwell's power to us and so we turned into H-Elves, but, also turned darker due to the climate."I mean.. I've never heared of these elves doing climate adaptation, but, no one said it's not possible.Just don't tell me they were mainlanders all this time.
