Brutosaur on the trading post is an absolute NO imo. They can add it back to BMAH regular pool or even add it back to the bfa vendor for more(?) than 5M. But trading post is just free stuff and nearly every single player with one of those would just make AHs obsolete. And i don't think blizz wants that.
I am all here for making the Longboi accessible again!
I’m just shocked they didn’t make another AH mount that costs 5m or more that’s relevant to each expansion and retire it with each one. Like a broker barge for SL or a big tuskarr turtle for DF. The genie is out of the bottle. It’s just rude that if we weren’t in a gold cartel in BFA then we can’t ever get an AH mount.
As a non-goblin who worked my butt off to earn 5 million to buy the Brutosaur, I'd be extremely upset if it turned up on the Trading Post. The Trading Post literally takes minimal effort to cap.
As a player who created a spreadsheet to farm old raids to get the Brutosaur over the course of several months on 16 characters, I would love for more players to be able to acquire the Brutosaur. It would be great if Blizzard returned the mount to the original vendor or increased the frequency of its appearance on the BMAH.However, I do not want to see it appear on the Trading Post as it only requires a minimal amount of effort to purchase or unlock anything it contains.TLDR: Return or increase access for players to purchase the Brutosaur, but please do not add it to the Trading Post.
Professions in this xpac are time gated and not fun. Feels like a slog and a chore imo. Can you make some gold? Sure. Is it a fun interaction? Not at all imo.
I don't think it's fair to give either the brutosaur, nor tcg mounts via twitch drops etc., they took loads of gold to get, and yes, it was possible to get them without spending a penny IRL, just loads of time and effort, but really, that varied depending on when you did it or your region, let's take one of the best eras: warlords of draenor (also known as warlords of gold farming), in 2015, early on, in eu they were for between 150k (savage raptor) and 500k (swift spectral), in us they were even cheaper, I believe I saw dragonhawks as low as 60k, if not even less, and maybe spectrals for 300k, the us have always had them cheaper than the eu, but as time went on the relative cost (also accounting for inflation) increased, and example in eu by 2016 tigers were already 2-3 mil +, by late 2018 25 mil + and they kept increasing, probably dropped now a bit due to the twitch drop phenomenon and the early expansion, which usually increases supplies and decreases prices a bit, so depending on when you got it and where they could be significantly more or less effort, but they were never a joke, that's why I don't like them bring in trading post etc.As for brutosaur, I think it shouldn't have been removed, I think about a friend of mine, who lost interest in retail and went to classic, but even if she came back, it'd be unobtainable now, while she had 6 mil at the time, so slightly more than needed to buy it before it was removed from vendor, and because the margin wasn't that high decided to not go for it.I don't think 5 mil is a joke for most players to make, they wouldn't become super common, and if they thought inflation would be crazy, then they could account for a 100% inflation (which happens in some expansions, even more) by keeping it on the vendor for SL and doubling the price. But the biggest joke imo is that they promised it'd be in BMAH and then they stealth removed it (data for azeroth is not reliable for that, it also says some people get the 4th wow anniversary achi every day nowadays, don't trust it!), also I'm a big believer in statistics, and I checked all realms on both regions early on, found one on frostwolf eu and one on ravencrest us (which was actually the first), and from what I can tell, originally its spawn rate was definitely lower than other big ticket items such as the old zg mounts, plagued proto and at the time, when they still had a really low drop, the world boss mounts, but it was still enough that you'd see one a week or so if you checked all realms, so the fact it didn't appear any more in years says enough! If they don't want to bring it back to the vendor, they need to at least fix the spawn rate in BMAH, and I believe if they do we could've reached the point where people would cap it more often than not, whereas the ones that spawned early on were ending at 5 mil, on frostwolf eu back then someone bid the minimum, 5 mil, and on ravencrest us it went unsold as far as I saw, unless someone bid at short only.
bruto is the new heartbreaker, if they'd just return it to vendor or make a new fomo ah mount for 5m, that's probably for the best.
I love you Samadan for bringing the Bruto problem here! It's hard to find streamers (nor anyone on the wow community council) who are willing to do that, so many many thanks :)I check myself many realms each day for more than 2 years now (and meanwhile brought the whole mounts/pets/toys etc that BMAH have to offer). but never saw the Bruto once. Also brought many many boxes over the months, till I understood it's a waste of gold, there is no chance at all despite of Blizz promises to make it available at BMAH.I think that at this point, Blizz owe us a bit more than just make it available again at BMAH with REAL chances. It should become more common at BMAH, or just get back to the vendor.Anyway, we have a long discussion about it here for anyone who want to see more info:https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/mighty-caravan-brutosaur-unobtainable-despite-blizzards-claims/398842
They should def. make it substantially more available at the BMAH. And again: Blizzard's way of communicating and addressing such "minor" things (minor in general, but HUGE for some) is atrociously bad.It would be equally bad to just put in on the Trading Post though.
Blizz is not going to put the Bruto on the Trading Post. They made it very very clear they would not bring back items that were tied to something the players had to put in a lot of work for. They flat out said no to unobtainable achievement raid mounts or pvp mounts. I am pretty sure the Bruto, with so many many people working to save the gold for it, would fall into this category. Trading Post is more about mogs and fun stuff. They are not going to put anything controversial on it.
As an OG Brutosaur owner who earned it with a long, hard gold grind in BFA.. I wouldn't mind if they just put it back on the vendor or put it on the BMAH more frequently. Or better yet - Don't bring it back at all, make a new AH mount on a vendor for millions of gold. Gimme one of those Djaradin fire mammoths with vendors on it. I'd grind out a gold cap for that, no question. And I already have the Brutosaur. But the Trading Post? Absolutely not. the 5-10 million gold mount with an auction house on it, is not a reward for casual players to accidentally earn for a free hit of dopamine. It is a true endgame reward for economic players - Something to progress towards. A chase piece. A status symbol. Sure, the WoW token dilutes that part, but if you were to try to wow token your way to 5mil gold on NA, that would cost you like $500 USD. Not exactly "easy to buy with tokens". And it would be double that now with the BMAH cost. This current situation isn't progression or a chase piece. It's an RNG crapchute of the highest degree. It should be solved, but not by just giving it to everyone for free, Unless current longboy owners get a 5mil gold payout from the trading post instead. Does that sound fair?
I can’t think of any other time in WoW where a mount purchased from a vendor was removed with the end of that current expansion.2 million gold Bloodfang Cocoon spider mount was not removed after legion.Transmog Yak wasn’t removed after MoP.Repair mount wasn’t removed after WotLK.Since blizz refuses to put bruto in BMAH lineup bring it back during BFA timewalking to his vendor or for cap gold or in the Trading Post
I don’t think it will be fair for players who work so hard for 5 mil gold for get Bruto put it on trading post. But I think Blizzard can put it back for much bigger price (inflation in game) maybe 50 mil gold. It will be fair.
