So we're not 'kyrian paladins' and etc. then. Ok then let us change whenever we want.
Just don't. Don't do that.
"We delaying games to make them worse". Blizzard Entertainment 2020.
This isnt a big deal, you wont need a covenant ability to go farm icc, and you arent soloing bfa stuff for a while regardless, i dunno why these comments are so tied up in old world when the content that is farmable solo could be done regardless of azerite, corruptions, or covenant abilities, youre still gonna need a group for mythic tmog bfa raids
IT DOESNT MAKE ANY SENSE WHY? THIS IS STUPID AF
braindead decision
I get disabling the movement abilities, otherwise people would just have a ton of alts on Nightfae to quickly farm old raids. But wtf? Disabling all of them will feel so weird if you decide doing some older content, especially open world pvp, raiding cities, pvp world quests, anything involving combat that takes from than 10 seconds; I'm assuming through scaling that level 50 enemies won't just be simple aoe one-shots either, so even if that kind of thing will still be easy, it will feel DAMN weird to play. Especially when you have a covenant ability on a low cooldown.
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
Thematically this makes sense. I am honestly for it.I'm not enthused but it makes sense to do.
Honestly, with this change they should consider just abandoning the covenant class abilities and soulbinds altogether, and keeping the legendaries. Make them hard to get and increase they're potency. EZPZ
This is a very lame move Blizzard.
But... why? Is this just another "Fun detected" moment?
So you're telling me I can use covenant abilities in arenas, but if I go to that same arena out in the open world, suddenly I can't?
Blizzard is really out here trying to create the most on-rails MMORPG in history.
I'm not really understanding everyone just going"HeY GUys ThIS iS SucH AgOod CHange WoW i CANt WAIt For BliZZARd To TAke MY GAMe To NEw HeiGhTS"Its really not, its moreover &*!@ing over everyone that is excited to show off their covenant abilities and want to use them for conventional uses, make mount farming easier by going faster, by doing X, Y, and ZIt's not at all game-breaking to have them outside of Azeroth, this is the kind of power that we were given by the guys in Shadowlands, I'm not too annoyed at this, just confused about the true meaning behind this change, Why not just nerf them in Arenas/The Open World? Why not actually address core problems in the game? There are still a lot of problems they aren't addressing, instead, they result in baseless changes to the game
I've largely been on board with most of the shadowlands decisions because of how they impact my playstyle but this one just doesn't sit right. It seems very counterintuitive. I'm hoping that its in some way unintentional, like its only meant to affect certains things in certain places. I'm curious as to how it affects the Death Knights since the Night Fae ability replaces Death and Decay, do you just learn and unlearn it everytime you enter and leave the shadowlands. I'm optimistic that its either a bug, or at least not intended to have this affect, but otherwise I hope blizzard at least provide some reasoning as to why they've made this change. I can understand it from a lore point of view but then I can use the heart of azeroth on Draenor, or Argus etc so that argument loses meaning.Hopefully just a mistake, possibly applied to avoid another bug. I know that covenant abilities also aren't currently working in parts of Torghast on the beta, so its possible this string is just to avoid a different error in the meantime. Hopefully lol.Still, excited overall for the expansion :D
Most bizzare. This can't possibly be intended. It makes no sense. That's like a class not being able to use Talents outside of the expansions that cover their level range.
