It's not as much a dps improvement, but I also like how arcane barrage having no cost or cool down means it can be spammed when having to move with no time to build up charges. Orbs can of course help mitigate this, but just alone the mobility and speed boost is nice for questing or oh *!@# movement moments

Unfortunately seems that mages are going to get nerfed again, how much of a difference it will make only time will tell.

Now that the other specs are viable we can put arcane into the ground though...

Arcane still requires a bloody PhD to play its rotation optimally, so I reckon I'll just stick with Frost even if it does less damage than both Arcane and Fire.

No, it doesn't. It requires basic reading comprehension skills and an hour at the training dummy.

Because we all have time to stand at a training dummy for an hour. Most dont give a crap about getting the last %1 out of a rotation. Most dont want to stand in front of a training dummy. I have never, ever, stood in front of one. Not about to change now. Is this playing a game? Standing in front of a training dummy? Do you even consider the time stood in front of a dummy worthy? For what? That %1? Bugga that. I dont do mythinc raiding and neither does more than %95 of the player base. Only those people need to stand in front of a dummy in lie to thenselves about what they are getting out of it. And all so people can say git good? Put your ego away and play the game. Standing in front of a traget fummy is not playing the game.

i did my HC's healing. I used LFR at first to get to know the dungeons. If you get off on standing in front of a training dummy so you can play with your mythic geared friends, most of them who probably bought the runs as they cant do it themselves, then that is your thing.

And. Once again. %95 or more never do mythic raids so have no real need to get that extra %1 to %3 required.

Playing bad is wiping on a mechanic over and over and over agin while nevr getting it. Since i reached HC level raids i think it is fair to say that i am slightly better than your supposed bad definition.
