Please Blizzard if you're increasing exp required to level and increasing PVE mob and quest exp given please increase PVP exp from BGs and such too.
I'd love to read all those little zone summaries.
Flying unlock for every character is really nice and surprising. Thank u.Those lvling changes are not bad at all
To be completely honest Heirlooms took the fun away from leveling by replacing those items you obtain in dungeons. It was so much more fun to wish for that piece of armor to equip, the XP increase helps a bit but it makes things faster.
Heirlooms don't have to make me one-shot everything. As long as they make leveling faster than not using them (both less time per fight and less time to gain experience) than they are working as intended.Sounds good so far, we'll see how it feels after they gather the data and tune the process for live.
Thank you blizzard! Since Legion released I wished the same technology would be used elsewhere. I've been wanting to do a story play through but you level so fast that it's inane to try and level normally without just griding dungeons. And was so tired of 1 shotting everything. Will finally get to bring my mage an shaman up the story way.
The fact that I have levelled characters in grey gear makes any changes the Wow Devs do to any zones, at best, a token attempt to make the game hard again. If they want people to experience the storyline, they need to make some MAJOR changes to skills/spells, damage from skills/spells and wearing of heirloom gear. If you wear heirloom gear this will actually let you reach max level sooner and have a bunch of zones to do at max level. Why would you do those zones at max level when all you're going to get for your trouble is gold. Oh yah! I got 39 gold, 29 silver and 14 copper for handing in that quest! As for storyline - you were meant to have experienced that while levelling, not after the fact. How to get people through content to max level quickly without wrecking the storyline. Ahhh.... Why right a storyline if you just want to speed people through it?Making World of Warcraft easy, sure it made it accessible to thousands of more people, but those people now expect the entire game to be easy, which, when they run up against something that requires some thinking or grouping up, it's all too hard.I see major problems with zone scaling, for example, a level 1 groups with a level 60 friend. What level does the zone scale too? Does it scale to the level 60 or does it scale to the level 1? You're wondering why the level 60 grouped with the level 1, neither of them have done this zone and decided to do it together. You could have the zone scale halfway, but the level 1 would be constantly targetted and the level 60 would get nothing regardless of what level it was unless it was level 58-62 in which case the level one would be dead alot and bouncing levels that will undo the storyline.Heirlooms - Should be created by collecting the said item from a specific dungeon or raid and with the help of enchanters, blacksmiths/leatherworkers or clothiers upgrading the barebones item into an heirloom. I would delete all current heirlooms off every toon and make people re-acquire them and upgrade up. However they will need to go into the dungeon with a toon of the appropriate level to get the appropriate item . People will whinge and moan about this, oh it's all too hard....boohoo.... Try working 60 hours a week, managing a household of rugrats, dogs and a wife and you'll know what HARD is! Then try and fit some decent wow time in to achieve anything! The upside is the old gear from dungeons will actually have some relevance again. Why bother having loot in dungeons 1-100 if heirloom gear is ALWAYS better? Why even go into a dungeon if the loot that drops is always a downgrade? Players like nostalgia! Bring back The Deadman's Hand, for example. Awesome ring for 30-40 pvp!Bulletin boards - great idea, love that! But it's already half in, so good on Wow Devs for finishing it off. Bounties should also be put on bulletin boards for killing rares spawns or opposing faction commanders throughout each expansion. (brings the game back to the BfA expansion) On top of the loot dropped by the rare spawn, the bounty counts towards a achievement for all rare spawns\faction commanders killed in X expansion and this might lead to pvp gear /pve gear or something usable like health potions or resources. As with heirlooms, FLYING needs to be removed. If you are serious about the next expansion being a horde vs alliance expansion? But we know it's not, it's going to be horde and alliance vs n'zoth and azshara and a bunch of baddies trying to take over our world. Flying is relevant if it is hidden behind a pathfinder achievement, but it kills any world pvp as once someone is out of range and freed from combat, you just mount a flying mount and fly off. Best memories of PVP were running down the enemy either by foot or by riding mount. Yes, flying makes it easier to get to world quests and such at max level but that's all it does. It undoes any immersion the creators of the world attempted to make as you're just flying over the forest and see nothing down below. Infact I would probably make the ground below greyed out while flying, can't see mining nodes or anything else. The most annoying part of wow, was having to use flightmasters to get anywhere, which is exactly how it should be. You need to be constantly thinking about how to get from a to b the fastest and most practical way. Portals either cast by mages or bought using gold or once purchased, constantly there for a renew fee, is another way to make things more interactive for the player. The portals in shal'aran were awesome and a step in the right direction. Go through a portal and BAM! Instant pvp action! Or maybe a world boss is camped there wasting everyone coming through the portal until a large posse comes to deal out some pain. World epics for everyone! Or maybe the portal has sent you somewhere unknown, unexplored, another achievement for exploring all the unknown random portal locations and clearing them. more loot, more achivements!
Really happy with this changes, and you guys asking the wrong question, it's not about it being faster/slower, it's not about how powerful you are, it's about having fun doing it!
Heirloom nerfs don't bother me in the least. I like the 'looms as a base for easy transmogging, to be honest. Couldn't care less about the stats being powerful or the XP increase so I'm cool with the changes.I'm liking the scaling limits so far, but will need to see it in action to judge it fully. All in all, very good changes in my opinion.
This is long overdue but better late than never. looking forward to it experiencing it in-game
It's great, it's what they told us about during Blizzcon. New players are not interested in the non-feeling they have with leveling currently, now they will get a real game experience, like they actually DO things and not bash XP bags across the map that you can kill even with full grey stuff
