If you join a raid on Putricide, having not done ICC that week, and you defeat him, you will be saved for Putricide, and all bosses leading up to Putricide as well. You cannot go back and do the bosses that were "skipped."The "no save on walk-in" part is new for non-extended raid locks. The only difference is that up until now, you were saved, but were given a warning before it happened. It's not complicated at all. In fact it's much simpler than the not-so-obvious existence of a raid ID, and tracking down the people with that raid ID.The game remembers which bosses you killed that week. You can continue with that point, regardless of who you're with, assuming they are not working on bosses that you have already killed. It's really not complicated, . If you think it is, you might be misinterpreting what the post is describing.I don't understand the decision Heroics retaining the "raid id" system, however. If anything, Heroic raid IDs are much more valuable, and I would be more concerned with a PUG from a heroic attempt taking that raid ID than one who happened to be in regular runs.Holy edits, Batman, not sure what's with me and typos this morning.
Well maybe blizzard do this so they can focus more on goldspammers and account hackers.10 and 25man share same raidid and loot table which means they have to work twice as little with each boss loot table :)Compare current loot tables of icc 10 and 25man, normal and heroic.Alot of gear, alot of data to write and the new system allows them to work with half the menpower :D

Awful, awful change to be implemented before Cataclysm's raids where the loot in 10 and 25 is the same. This is going to KILL most pugs and GDKPs that run on servers because everyone that runs with a guild CANNOT do an ICC25 as they'll either be saved to bosses via a guild run or have to keep zero bosses saved for an upcoming guild run. When this goes live it will royally screw over everyone in a 10-man guild who has all their upgrades from ICC10 and need some upgrades from ICC25 as you'll no longer be able to run 10-man with the guild and PUG a 25. It also screws over guilds that run 10s early in the week and 25s later in the week; you'd have to run the 25 first in case you need to split it into two 10s.Simply terrible to push this with the current raid model (i.e. different loot tables)
Another way to look at it is this: Cataclysm is only seven raid lockouts away.
People aren't playing because this expansion is done, and has run its course. Content came out too quickly (I should say, major content came out too quickly) and ICC has overstayed its welcome. Blizzard got pushed into a corner with that, if you ask me. People cried because we couldn't fight LK yet, so it got released, then cried because they were fighting LK for too long. The story of the WoW community. If anything, putting all their focus into the expansion is the smartest thing for Blizzard to do at this stage, as it'll bring those bored folks back. Presumably, anyway.
I just arsed myself to read this.I am happy, to the very least.
How are they killing raiding for large guilds? Sorry you're not a unique little snowflake anymore.
They aren't changing the ICC loot tables. The only thing that's changing for Wrath raids is the lockout system. Yes, this may screw with some people's guild/personal progression, but I think it's safe to say the majority of players are suffering from end-of-expansion-itis.
Yes, if you look at the first post, it is fairly well explained how the system works.
You're misunderstanding what Roack is saying. He's not saying they finished 6 bosses then couldn't do the rest, then keep restarting. He's saying that the first 6 bosses are more of a chore than anything, so it would be great to devote time on only the last 6 bosses each week, not having to deal with the boring first 6.
