How it Works

Get Tender Every MonthAt the first of each month, players with an active account in good standing will receive 500 Trader’s Tender automatically every month from a chest called the Collector’s Cache. If you don’t have active game time on your account or aren’t a subscriber at the start of a new month, don’t worry. Your Tender will be awarded on the first day of the month when you do have game time or an active subscription. This will be the same amount for everyone, regardless of how you pay for your game time.
The Traveler's LogComplete monthly activities listed in the new Traveler’s Log. Each month features a rotating, themed set of activities. These activities provide the opportunity to earn up to ~~500~~ 700 additional Trader’s Tender in July and August. There’s only a set amount of Tender you can earn each month through completing activities, so you won’t need to complete all the ones in the log each month. You’ll be able to pick and choose from a variety of fun in-game activities to easily earn Tender. Players can choose to earn by continuing to play the game as they already do, such as completing quests, competing in battlegrounds, participating in holiday activities, and even running Mythic+ dungeons. But you can also choose to take part in activities uniquely designed for the month.
Freeze an ItemBefore the month comes to an end, if you haven’t purchased that one “must-have” item yet, don’t worry. You can “freeze” an item so you can purchase it later. When you freeze an item, it will stay available month over month until it is purchased or replaced. If this month’s offerings didn’t have the items you wanted, you can hang on to your Trader’s Tender to spend later. It won’t go anywhere, and unspent Tender will continue to accumulate each month.
What a Tender MomentAs a way of saying “Thank you” to the community for continuing to play World of Warcraft with us, we are awarding a bonus 500 Trader’s Tender to players who purchase Dragonflight and add it to their account†. This bonus Trader’s Tender will also be rewarded retroactively to players who have already purchased Dragonflight. Players can collect this bonus Trader’s Tender from their Collector’s Cache.Learn more about the Trading Post in our previously published news post on the official site.*The Trading Post feature is not available in WoW Classic titles.
**Requires World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time
***Requires Level 10 to access the Adventure Guide.
†Bonus Trader’s Tender is granted only once per Battle.net account.

Purple scarf.

Wasn't the first Trading Post scarf purple? The scarves have been my favourite part of ~~Scarves Monthy~~ trading post. More colours please!

No it was pink

Yep, we've had Rosy(pink), Midnight(dark grayish black), Carrot(deep orange), and Snowy(offwhite).

Anyone else waiting for them to add a dark brown option?

Comment by Fkuimbatman

There are some hardcore pet collectors who are about to lose their minds.

I honestly thought this was the TCG item we'd never see made available this way. Everything is likely on the table now.

As it should be. Rooster mount next please Bliz

Comment by Meebo

With Blizzard being soooo generous to add extra items; which no doubt they will continue to do down the track, it gives you incentive to buy their traders currency packs coming in 10.1.5...
Keep in mind 10.1.5 is coming mid July, so just enough time to hand over all your money to Daddy Bobby for the extra bonus items.

Comment by Dungbert

Looks like a good couple months to sell some tendies with all this extra stuff. Revenue must be dropping during the summer months.

Comment by Soeroah

Sure hope these "earn an addition 200 tender" ways are as open-ended as the main trader's log.

Comment by Adonio

This is too much stuff

its for 2 months

Comment by kyneticwolf

inb4 tyrael charger players be mad that the mount they brought a decade ago isn't prestige.

I think you missed the 3 previous times it's been made available since then. Blizzard are quintuple dipping on that thing lmao.

The real complaint is the bloating of the Trading Post by including stuff they already offered. They are extending the list of items available per month. They already increased the amount of purchasable mounts we were seeing per month, which just happen to also be the most expensive item to buy. We were already made to save tenders if we wanted to buy the rest of that month when it came around next time. It seems this is just to push us even further behind. And this is just a theory for now but I wouldn't be surprised if it's in preparation for the new currency from the store, giving us more incentive to just give in and buy it.

Comment by kyneticwolf

I know we were already expected to have to save tenders and wait for items we missed previously but now, we stand no chance. No amount of saving our monthly earned tenders is going to catch us up. And I suspect this is all in preparation for more microtransactions.

Comment by yager05

Extra items? ^&*!ING HELL! Gimme extra coins FFS. It's already a fraction of what I'd like and now even more to the pool. Great...

Comment by avatarofshadow

what if i buy Dragonflight for a second license on my account ?

Comment by Lunarkin

Me thinking that my bday of August 1st would be fun because it be a new month of trading post items.

Blizz saying hold my beer and releasing two months at once leaving no anticipation of new items for August.

:(

(On a more serious note, I am excited for some of these....that green scorpion mount, hello.)

Comment by Hoshkar

Another month of things I don't want or already have. At least the reskin netherdrake is cool I guess.

Comment by williamj

man like 3 months in a row i cant get enough currency for the stuff i want lol.You all need to bump up how much we can get so we can actually buy stuff we want lol.makes me sad every month on rather to change my frozen item or buy it.

Comment by NariandColds

In the post it says the August stuff was announced as well. But I can't find it anywhere in this post. What am I missing?

Comment by Brogash

I strongly recommend everyone to not buy any TCG items from either BMAH or AH in these times

sad we can't gather more coins in one month :(

Comment by TakakoEXODAR

Extra items but not extra tenders available ingame okay ?

Comment by fendred

So some people are saying some of these items are repeat offerings of previous months' trading posts - so I guess this is how we can expect to collect items we had to pass on - just wait for them to randomly show up some time in the future. Absolute garbage. Does nothing to address any player concerns around this system (except the most basic level of "yeah well technically you can just wait and get the item later"):

There is still the very real risk (if this is not confirmation of the fact) that RNG is gonna have people waiting potentially years for a specific item to come back (this is not an exaggeration, consider BMAH or certain achievement related WQs etc that are determined by RNG. People genuinely wait years for some of these things to happen)

There is also still the risk that whenever an old item doers show up again, it will be drowned in shiny new rewards, and the player will still have to choose between missing out on that one special item yet again, or missing out on new "high value" options (e.g. the mounts). A lot of people are seeing this direction being pathed out ready for microtransactions. Whether or not microtransactions happen, this will still be an unpleasant experience.

Only way to salvage the trading post now is to ensure that:
1. Old items are guaranteed to return within a maximum timeframe (say 6 months or 1 year), or there are a certain number of slots dedicated to previous items; the more of them you buy the greater the chance those slots will fill with the specific item you need
2. The rate of introduction for new items each month drops to less than 1 month's worth of tender - would make sense for this to occur after the trading post has been out for a full 1 year rotation
3. (suggestion) In the case of point #2, people will eventually have more tender than they can spend; instead of adding new items I think it would be cool if there were a couple of slots of randomly selected uncollected items from the rest of the game, so you might be offered an old raid transmog or a dungeon drop mount that you don't have yet.

Finally I think there's a wasted opportunity to do something will all the additional tasks in the log that get ignored once you fill your monthly bar. Imagine if there was a region wide progress bar that accumulated everyone's log points (even after they max out their personal bar), and when the region fills the bar it triggers some sort of event (xp/rep buff, vendor discounts, things like that)

Comment by MorganLake

Um obviously it's because they intend to add MICROTRANSACTIONS to the store! That's why I stopped playing this game 15 years ago but still check Wowhead and r/wow every day. 🤓

It could also mean we might be able to buy stuff from the store for tender. We do not know what those icons were for!

no.
