50k for a mog that only works on one drake is too much for me.

Comment by Apollomantis

Lame, restricted to only one dragon riding drake, pass.

50,000g saddle, for one drake, on Pirate's Day, and it goes away after a short amount of time?
Too bad we can't be the pirates to do the pillaging and looting for this skin. Instead, we be the ones bein' played, matey! XD

In all seriousness, I wasn't terribly impressed with how they handled this event. No unique pirate transmogs, one quest to gather 33 Shark teeth and generic Pirate Wand Costume appearances, no eye-patches, no peg-legs, no "Click to add this companion to your collection" pets. There's no 'soul', you know? Just that saddle and nothing else. Pirate's Day 2023 was a wash.

All the super broke people crying about an inexpensive addition... welcome to WoW. I am bummed more wasn't added though, when they said "updated" I didn't think it would be literally only one purchasable item more.

Always this model or the proto-drake... WHERE'S the love for the Cliffside Wylderdrake?
Why is this even model specific? I like the smaller dragon both appearance-wise and because it feels better to maneuver.

So far in Dragonflight both the Cliffside Wylderdrake and the Windborne Velocidrake remains the only dragonriding mounts yet to recieve a unique/special full-body skin or other customizations like all the other dragons.

I get that this standard drake model and proto-drake have more commonly known boss builds to steal from, but I still wish they'd also make something for these 2 neglected models as well.

Saddle is overpriced garbage. Should worth no more than 50g.(##RESPBREAK##)272##DELIM##TOMRUS##DELIM##

50,000 gold that's a bit steep

When is going to be added?

I was looking forward to this one, but its a hard pass. 50,000g pffftt

Paid 50k for that $%^& and now I have crippling depression

All the super broke people crying about an inexpensive addition...

Why do people like you not understand that there's a thing called value for money that exists? Could you drop $50 on a can of Coke? Sure. WOULD you? Is that soda worth it to you?

I paid the same amount as this saddle for a shoulder mog off the AH. Because I wanted it. But I'd never call people who wouldn't "poor" or "broke." This thing? An extremely low-effort item that is made up of an existing item (treasure chest back) and a likely unused saddle model they dug out of a digital dustbin? No. To me that is not worth 50K. If it was an outfit that gave you the outfit of Captain Skyhook I'd drop it on it immediately, but it's not. It's a low-effort recycling.

When is going to be added?

It won't, because it's unused.

Even though it's TOMRUS saying it.. This, 100%

Feels like someone fell asleep on the kbd for a few seconds and added a few extra 0s

I saw it and was like 'cool holiday update' then I saw the price and was like 'NOPE'

I mean, with wow gold inflation being what it is that's a good chunk of a monthly wow token!

It's unused because it's not available in-game. It stops being unused when it is. That's how it works.

Does anyone know if the saddle for the drake lasts more than just Pirates Day? can I mog it year round to the drake?

Comment by waverve

So I guess you're a billionaire? I don't consider myself super broke but paying ~10% of what I have for a saddle is not something I am willing to do. And that's okay, right?

After you have purchased it, the post suggests that you can use it all-year-round as a cosmetic. We will see as soon as the 20th (tomorrow) if that's true!

Comment by MidniteDestiny

they should make petey a actual battle pet.

Comment by kodora1316

If you check out the dragonriding customization kiosks you'll see that there are holiday saddles for each of the dargons except Siltherdrake.

Hopefully they won't cost 50k each though or have terrible drop rates (I fear for Brewfest)

Oh dang, they're all going to be overpriced. :'( RIP my hopes for holiday themed dragon riding on a budget
