From the Legion Beta Patch Notes:

Class Trials

Try out a new level 100 character before consuming a Boost with the new Class Trials! Class Trials allows a player to create a new level 100 character, learn how to play the class, and get to experience what it feels like to play the class and their artifact weapon.
At the end of the trial experience the character is saved but locked. Players can use a character Boost to unlock the character and keep the character permanently.

It's not obvious by this article whether this is beta exclusive or live...at least to me.

To confirm, I'm certain this Class Trial feature is NOT yet live.

Did class trials go live with the demon hunter release? I don't believe it has but I wanted to double check

Comment by MightyThor

I don't understand where theses sets come from, in the comments of the Mage set, someone said that it comes from Order Hall quests and whatnot. Is this true or you need to boost a toon to 100 to get the set?

Is this feature live on public servers?
How to access this feature(on live servers),because I do not want to waist my 100 lvl boost?

Comment by Darthias

The class trials are live. Although the feature is NOT working as intended since the idea was that the class trial was meant to be BEFORE you boost your character, to see if you like it or not, not after you have boosted your character.

Checked today, and class trials are available for use with an hourly limit! So glad they inverted this into the game!

Have fun and start trialing!

It's not mentioned anywhere, (or I'm blind) so I thought I'd mention that you can play each of the Class Trials right up to the point where you turn in the quest for your first Artifact Weapon. At that point you get a Pop up to boost now or later. If you choose later, your character is automatically locked, and you'll get a disconnect timer of 10 minutes.

After extended amounts of experience to these class trials I've decided to answer some possible questions anyone might have. If there's any information anyone else can provide it'd of course be nice.

Class trials have a creation hourly limit of 4 and a weekly limit of 8. This means you can't make a class trial of each class in one lockout.
Class trials are able to join guilds, mail, explore the world, do quests, trade, buy from AH, but NOT enter instances as long you do not do the artifact questline. This is achieved by using the Hearthstone in your backpack that will take you to your faction's capital city.
Class trials will automatically be locked after 8 hours of ingame playtime. (Sorry, roleplayers.)
Class trials can be used to learn appearances of armor and weapons, useful for people without plate/cloth/leather user alts. You will also get the trial armor appearance. Additional armor pieces are in an openable bag in your backpack. If you decide to delete the character, it will still keep the appearances.
Once a class trial has been locked the only way to unlock it is to buy the actual boost. This means all items you've had on the character are now inaccessible until you've unlocked it.

I have started 2 class trials, both horde, however I want one on the alliance side, can I change their class and factions whilst keeping their names? I like both their names and don't want to lose them if I change them ...
