This add is simply a Corruption Corpuscle with a larger health pool (3.83m up from 1.15m) and a longer Enticing Essence cast (37s up from 14.5s).

Corruption CorpuscleMutated Mass

The Mutated Mass Waste Disposal Unit will trigger by itself. This will always be at one of the two central Waste Disposal Areas, chosen randomly.

Ten seconds later, the two Waste Disposal Units for the Corruption Corpuscles will trigger. These will be in any of the five remaining Waste Disposal Areas, chosen randomly.

Ten seconds after this, all three adds will spawn simultaneously.

If Fetid Devourer ever completes a Consume Corruption cast the attempt is likely over, as he heals for 30% of his maximum health, up from 10%.

DPS AssignmentsCorruption Corpuscle

The DPS best for this job are those with strong, yet short duration, burst cooldowns. Classes such as Subtlety Rogues, BM Hunters and Fire/Arcane Mages being particularly strong for this.

Players assigned to these adds must ensure that their team will have adequate cooldowns for each time they spawn. Usually a minimum of four of the players should have some form of cooldown to achieve this.

The two teams should be assigned to different areas of the room, with one team assigned to the entrance of the room and the other being assigned to the far end of the room.

Each of the Waste Disposal Areas should be marked with a raid marker and the raid leader should call which team should kill which Corruption Corpuscle, preferring to assign teams to the Corruption Corpuscle which spawn within their respective areas.

After both Corruption Corpuscles have been defeated, the two teams should then focus on killing the Mutated Mass, before switching back to the boss.

Mutated Mass

The best DPS for this job is those with good prolonged damage or cleave damage, such as Affliction Warlocks.

In other terms, the DPS which are the worst choice for bursting down the Corruption Corpuscles should instead be assigned to the Mutated Mass.

The tanks should move the boss over to this add at the earliest possible safe moment as to allow cleave damage to splash onto the boss.

Players assigned to focus down the Mutated Mass should generally hang around the centre of the encounter space, making sure they give other players the paths to head over to their Corruption Corpuscles when needed.

After the add has died, the tanks should move the boss back into a safe position before the next set of Waste Disposal Units trigger.

Groups generally decide to use Bloodlust on the third set of adds, as DPS will also benefit from the boss damage it provides due to the boss being in Fetid Frenzy at this time.

Second DPS potions may wish to be assigned to a specific wave of adds that the group is struggling with.

The add waves physically appear within the room at these time stamps: 0:55 - 2:10 - 3:25.

The Malodorous Miasma will attempt spread to anyone nearby each time it deals damage. The afflicted player needs to ensure that nobody is within the circle around them as this will spread the debuff.

The Putrid Paroxysm will also attempt to spread to anyone nearby with each tick, however this area is larger than the Malodorous Miasma spread range. Towards the end of the Malodorous Miasma, the afflicted player needs to move even further away from their allies to ensure that this hard hitting dot does not spread!

Each team should have a single healer assigned to it, to ensure that these spread out players remain healthy.

The remaining fourth healer should be assigned to the tanks, ensuring they remain healthy throughout the fight.

Malodorous Miasma

Groups with a large amount of melee DPS are likely to struggle to find a position in which they can do this, and as a result we recommend limiting the amount of melee brought to the encounter to 5 or 6.

That being said, there are kills where their has been 7 melee DPS on this encounter, so it is possible but more difficult.

Tanks can jam themselves in the terrain in those areas which prevents them from being knocked back by the Shockwave Stomp.

These locations also keep the tanks far away from any other player, as gaining the Putrid Paroxysm will force tanks to split apart which can lead to a non-tank player being hit by the Terrible Thrash.

When moving from the Rotting Regurgitation, players need to ensure they leave ample space for other also dodging the breath, as they may be affected with either Malodorous Miasma or Putrid Paroxysm debuffs.

When the Shockwave Stomp comes in, players should use movement abilities to counter the knockback as to help maintain postioning.

Players who do not have these options need to be knocked into an area where they will not likely receive or spread either debuff, such as nearby pieces of the environment.

Corruption CorpuscleMutated Mass

This can be difficult to do without spreading the Malodorous Miasma or Putrid Paroxysm debuffs, so players need to adapt and leave space for people to move towards the new areas.

Melee can find moving to their respective add more difficult than ranged. To help with this, you may want to mark each melee player in the raid so that ranged players can give these players extra space.

Shockwave StompRotting Regurgitation

Cunning players may wish to use the Shockwave Stomp to move towards their add faster than they usually would.

DPS must be ready to counter the knockback of the stomp as soon as possible, to ensure they can damage the add straight away.

If a Rotting Regurgitation is due to be cast just before the adds appear, the raid should attempt to bait it away from any incoming adds by standing away from them.
