Holy Priest Tips and Tricks for Gnarlroot

Notable Damage Event Timers : 0:40, 1:30, 2:09, 3:34, 4:08, 4:50 You primarily will look to use Holy Word: Salvation or Divine Hymn during Tortured Scream and Tainted Bloom combos that happen as a result of Controlled Burn casts going on players to activate the adds.
When the boss is drained of energy it moves into the middle of the room for Doom Cultivation where he takes 99% less damage and pulses AoE. You must stand in Splintering Charcoal circles spawned by the boss to receive a fire debuff, then touch Doom Roots to burn them to leave the intermission phase. When the phase ends the boss will then take 100% extra damage from Uprooted Agony.
Tortured Scream AoEs the raid ~20 seconds dealing ticking damage. Players will also be afflicted by Controlled Burn that must be placed on adds to activate them so they can be killed, if they are not activated by players they can be activated by the boss particularly in the intermission which can overwhelm the raid. When adds are spawned they erupt for extra damage with Tainted Bloom.
On Mythic the Flaming Trees deal heavy damage to individuals through Pollen Burn which deals damage to nearby players and slows the target. Make sure to priority heal those targets and the tanks when bleed stacks from the lashers in Shadow Spines ramps up.

Igiria the Cruel

Notable Damage Event Timers : 0:47, 1:41, 2:11, 3:12, 4:05, 4:27, 5:31, 6:25 - Blistering Spear goes out with 20 second gaps between one wave and the next. So if the first wave of Spears goes out at 10 seconds into the fight the next set will go out at 30 seconds into the encounter. Intermission phases happen when the boss reaches full energy with Marked for Torment generally around 0:45, 3:08, 5:28, knocking back players and spawning circles to soak.
When intermissions start the raid will alternate soaking one circle per intermission phase. The circle soaked determines the ability that you AVOID.
Soaking the Axe avoids Umbral Destruction, Soaking the Knife avoids Heart Stopper, and Soaking the Sword avoids Smashing Viscera.
Heart Stopper is one of the hardest mechanics to deal with on this encounter as half the raid receives healing absorb effects that needs to be fully healed otherwise they explode for damage. On Mythic when fully healed these targets unleash Vital Rupture orbs that erupt from the player's location and leave DoTs on players struck. Make sure you move out and dodge orbs.
When combined with Umbral Destruction you'll have players with absorbs move out and those not effected go in to split damage. These mechanics happen twice so you'll alternate after.

Volcoross

Notable Damage Event Timers : 0:10, 1:22, 2:32, 3:44, then stacking output at the end as the room fills with flames.
Constant rot damage on the encounter through the Burning Vertebrae buff on the boss, the encounter starts with Serpent's Fury dealing heavy raid damage that repeats after each Flood of the Firelands. After the first Flood of the Firelands the raid will split in half around the donut of the room and place fire puddles near the previous ones to maximize space.
Coiling Flames is applied to multiple players throughout the encounter starting as a large circle around the player dealing light damage to anyone who stands in it but as the circle reduces in size on the player it increases in damage dealt to others via Twisting Singe.
On Mythic players with Coiling Flames will also have to have their allies soak the Coiling Eruption which results when the Coiling Flames duration ends, you will soak the circle in small groups and then the Coiling Flames will jump to a new target.
Dodge Scorchtail Crash and the lava waves that spawn on higher difficulties.

Council of Dreams

Notable Damage Event Timers : 0:31, 1:02, 1:38, 2:08, 2:48 these timers are primarily for Thundering Impact damage which happens about every 30 seconds.
Noxious Blossom damage is constant throughout the encounter and ebbs and flows based on how many polymorphed players are soaking blossoms to reduce raid damage.
Priests are unable to dispel the Poisonous Javelin effect but should be ready to provide some priority healing to players as they are awaiting a dispel.
Emerald Winds occurs about once a minute starting at 0:45 knocking back players and dealing moderate damage.
Barreling Charge damage will need to be split between alternating groups of players to reduce the damage of Thundering Impact that occurs about every 30 seconds, this is the primary area you'll prepare output cds, especially when Noxious Blossoms are high in number.
Constricting Thicket is the ultimate ability from the Satyr boss and it can only be interrupted by the Barreling Charge, this occurs about every other charge and these are the primary areas to use large damage reduction and defensive cooldowns.
While affected by Polymorph Bomb you'll need to run through multiple blossoms to reduce raid damage and allow you to be full so you can break out. On higher difficulties when you break out of the polymorph you can then poly other players. You'll need to break out of your poly on top of the bear boss to interrupt his ultimate groundpound ability.

Larodar, Keeper of the Flame

Notable Damage Event Timers : 1:45, 3:40, 5:06 - Combusting Presence is constant rot throughout the encounter that turns into Searing Ash as the boss enters the final phase.
Furious Outburst is the boss' charge that deals raid-wide aoe about every 25 seconds. Blazing Coalescence orbs spawn on Mythic that players can grab to increase their critical strike but also will take instant damage and a decent DoT so they will need additional healing as these charges are going off.
Treant adds spawned throughout the encounter must be killed by players and then topped off by healers as soon as possible. These ents will then charge up the seed in the middle of the room where a rotating group of players will click on the seed and use the lines to clear ash and activate the bramble root, allowing it to be killed and then subsequently healed up to full so the raid can hide in it during Raging Inferno.
The Consuming Flame triggers the final phase, this deals heavy damage just like the infernos but also drags players in, likely killing them if they're too close.
Keep in mind most all adds killed will trigger explosions of Explosive Bark.
Dodge Blazing Thorns and fire patches, soak Falling Embers in the final phase.

Nymue, Weaver of the Cycle

Notable Damage Event Timers : 0:30, 1:00, 1:22, 1:43, 2:15, 2:45, 3:00 - deals constant damage throughout this encounter but it is up to the raid to soak these plants to reduce their duration and cause them to expire more rapidly. When your team is first learning this encounter the ticking damage will be significantly higher.
Players crossing lines will take damage from Verdant Matrix, this damage can be avoided by standing in the grass called Inflorescence but players that are debuffed with Barrier Blossom will need to run out to the edges of the room and will take additional damage from crossing lines, requiring priority healing.
At max energy the boss casts Full Bloom spawning adds, applying Inflorescence to tanks that are soaking inside the boss. You will need to quickly kill off these adds and split into two teams to do so, taking heavy damage while the adds are killed. When you return the boss casts Unravel dealing massive raid wide damage, this is an ideal time for heavy raid cds, the Unravel timing depends on when your team kills the adds but the first one is approximately 1:30 into the encounter .
The boss casts Viridian Rain dealing heavy damage onto the raid for a few seconds. This occurs about every 20 seconds in each phase for Nymue before they going into the intermission, so you can expect about 3 waves of this ability per phase.
Work to soak flowers to reduce ticking damage on the raid, avoid crossing lines when you don't need to to place Blossoms and dodge Impending Loom lines that come from the boss and push outward.

Smolderon

Notable Damage Event Timers : 0:16, 0:45, 1:31, 1:52
Blistering Heat damage is constant throughout the encounter and ramps up after each intermission phase.
Brand of Damnation is targetted onto the tank and must be soaked by half the raid that is not affected by Overheated. The soakers need to stack close together to be healed up from their absorbs so that they can drop flame piles together while the Overheated players need to spread out as they will drop Flame Waves on higher difficulties.
Tanks on higher difficulties will have a Searing Aftermath applied to them that must be run out of the raid and will explode for dropoff damage, there will also be Seeking Infernos after the soaks making it imperative that players are topped off from their healing absorbs rapidly so that they can survive the incoming damage of the tank and inferno aoes before the next round of soaks go out. Raid cds should be preferred before and during the 2nd of these combos.
At the start of each intermission World In Flames the boss will knockback players and then spawn personal orbs that increase healing and damage. These will travel to the boss and if they strike will increase his damage on the raid. Soak these orbs quickly and cycle output cds to survive.

Tindral Sageswift

Phase 1 starts with the boss in Moonkin form with a wide quantity of mechanics to dodge. Poisonous Mushroom need to be dodged by players and soaked by tanks, Falling Star spawn periodically and must be dodged or moved out of the raid, and Sunflame happen after Entangles and this is the ideal area where the raid shifts from one side of the room to the next.
Mass Entanglement occurs about every 20 seconds starting at ~20 seconds into the fight. Stay close together around the boss to more easily break out the rooted players.
Fiery Growth can be dispelled and will drop fire puddles so using Freedoms/root escapes to dispel those targets rapidly is a priority. On Mythic you'll need to wait until the Lingering Cinder debuff fades from the raid before you initiate the 2nd and 3rd dispels.
The boss will drop feathers into the middle of the room to trigger the intermission phase, run over a feather, hit the extra action button then your dragonriding mount to mount up and fly to the next platform. Dodge fire orbs and run through green orbs to stack damage/healing buffs and to regain Vigor. When you reach the platform the boss will be casting Supernova and the raid will often require heavy healing in this period, make sure to contribute what damage you can but prioritize healing.
Phase 2 features the fire treant where the boss will put out absorbs on players through Suppressive Ember that need to be priority healed and his Flaming Germination will deal raid wide damage and on higher difficulties require that players soak seeds while the damage is going off, this is an ideal time to cycle raid cds.

Fyrakk the Blazing

Notable Damage Event Timers : 0:25, 1:55/2:15, 3:30, 5:01, 6:30
Constantly be dispelling Aflame throughout the encounter Mass Dispel is clutch for catching up when the flame stacks get overwhelming!
Dream Rend in the first phase, Corrupt in the 2nd phase, infernals in the intermission and Apocalypse Roar in the final phase are all crucial points for high raid output.
Healing Spirits of the Kaldorei can be more challenging if your raid frames are not set but they can be easily cleaved by Sanctify healing. As a vuhdo user I have a mouseover focus that I set onto the adds to help cast onto adds that need additional output.
Corrupt in Phase 2 deals extremely heavy raid damage and players must soak orbs in the back of the room before they impact the boss, do not stand underneath the boss at this time!
Place fire circles in P1 against the old fire patches and keep them away from roots!
Blaze locks onto individual players, following them and cleaving allies that stand in the field. Make sure to move ALONG the length of the line to keep the line from moving to dodge other lines as needed without moving your own line. If your line goes North to South for example, then your character should only move North or South to keep the line from moving onto other players and potentially cleaving them.
Seed of Amirdrassil in the final phase can be picked up by players and are used to Bloom to protect players from the Apocalypse Roar. If the player carrying the seed gets hit by any Shadowflame abilities then the seed will explode, dealing damage. If you are targetted by Blaze, you must drop the seed and move your line out of the seed to avoid detonating it.
The raid must stack for Bloom to gain the shield which lasts 6 seconds. When the Apocalypse Roar is being cast, you can immediately Bloom if the raid is properly stacked.

Holy Priest Viability in Amirdrassil

Holy Priest is an excellent raid healer with access to two raid cooldowns (Divine Hymn and Holy Word: Salvation), cooldown reduction to allies with Symbol of Hope, and strong output. While Holy Priest is a fairly immobile healer the spec benefits massively from the improved Prayer of Mending talents that provide steady output on the move. Symbol of Hope remains a solid mana return for all healers in the party and reduces the cooldowns of everyone's defensives improving the raid's sustainability on long encounters.

While Holy uses a more AoE-centric build, it also produces a massive amount of Holy Word: Serenity so your spot healing is almost always available and Power Word: Life is a solid option for additional spot healing if you need it.
