From what I can tell, Leatherworking is pretty useless now days.. It only has a few minor perks such as crafting 2 ilvl 355 pieces (cost a lot of material from mythic dungeons) and them being able to craft Coarse Leather Barding (which you could just buy on the AH). Will there be anything actually useful added to leatherworking?

Whose bright idea was it to make the high-level BoP patterns DISCOVERIES!

Comment by Skids

Does anyone know of the matching chest pieces for the Honorable Combatant's sets? Actually, also missing shoulders and helm as well. Possibly drops from PVP or war campaign? Do not see anything in the unlearned tab either. From what I can see those have the potential to be really nice looking sets...

Edit: FOUND IT!
Dread Aspirant Alliance Leather
Dread Aspirant Alliance Mail

Though still would like to know if the rest of this set will come out in a craftable version or strictly just world drop farming for it? Still great looking sets!

For the Horde Versions:
Dread Aspirant Horde Leather
Dread Aspirant Horde Mail

So it appears Hardened Tempest Hide were hot fixed to NOT provide skill ups past Leatherworking skill 75. I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that the market was completely flooded by Leatherworkers crafting hundreds of them to expedite the leveling process.

soo.. no craftable weapon for outlaw rogues? for some reason can't use a dagger for Dispatch

TFW you followed a guide for something simple because you wanted to Not waste time, But the guide wasted your time. Skill Requirements are incorrect.

Comment by benninger

Level 1-50:
"At skill level 15 you will learn Shimmerscale Pauldrons ..."

Should be: "At skill level "25" (not 15)

The bones used for the 8.3 BoP items appear to be the incorrect ones, even the link to the item itself are showing Calcified Bone usage instead of Blood-Stained Bone

My hunter has 175 LW, I've created my Void Focus (its not upgraded though but this says it doesn't need to be), and I have all the mats in my inventory but every time I try to craft my Unsettling Cragscale Boots it just flashes at me and makes the sound effects of creating something, but nothing is ever created. Any ideas?

Comment by edwallols

When I scrapped the Unsettling Dredged Leather Leggings to upgrade, I received:

At least they gave me back a fair bit of mats considering that these are soulbound on creation.

Can we please update this guide? Drums isn't available until lvl150 and I'm stuck at 125. It seems like the route is to make a ton or Bardings or old Epics that are expensive. I'm hoping there is a better route - thank you!

Levels 70-150
Craft Coarse Leather Barding until the recipe turns yellow at skill level 85, then swap to Drums of the Maelstrom. The Drums can be used to craft all the way to skill level 150 at this point. You can also craft some of the epic level gear such as Hardened Tempest Boots to level if you plan to make them anyways.

Comment by thaines376

This guide is good, but it stops at 150. What do I do to get to 175?

Comment by Karma99

There's something very fishy about crafting in BFA 8.3. I've just created my 5th pair of Eldritch Cragscale Boots of the feverflare, with haste/mastery they are the worst stats for BM hunters. Knowing the way BFA has been designed to slow down players gearing up, it does feel deliberate. Add in other reports of similar "worst in slot" items being created frequently in a row it seems Blizz has fiddled the odds in crafting.
